I've been browsing through the forums and I keep seeing people stating this but they don't give any reason why they feel this way. So I'm asking, what makes you think PS3 will be the exclusive home for the next GTA.

No, Exclusive games are almost completly gone now. I garentee you they will not ever be exclusive again when they see just how much money they make with GTA4 by having it on both consoles from the launch. The consoles are now to expensive for most of the average people/kids to own more than one, unlike previous generations where lots of people owned multiple consoles of that generation, I myself own a PS3/360/and wii but most of my friends only have one or a Wii and a PS3 or 360.
But GTA 5 is along time from now and right now i am focused on GTA4. And who knows if they will even make GTA5 next or if they will do what they did last time and make different games part of the GTA4 trilogy, it is possible since they now got lots of assets from GTA4 now that they could reuse/upgrade but GTA4 is such a big game I doubt they will do a trilogy, I think the next GTA will most likely be GTA5 and it won't be coming for a long time.
I think it's pretty safe to say, we're going to get another GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas before we get GTA5TheNumber_12
i agree.. if rockstar still continues todevelop GTA, we will def. see a trilogy like san andreas an vice city. But if EA buys take two, then who knows what'll happen to GTA.

GTA 5 will probably be on the next-generation of consoles. Like PS4 etc.
whover is saying 3rd party excusives are dead is wrong, they just arent as common as last gen. rockstar themselves have 2 exclusive ps3 games coming LA noir and another unnamed title announced at e3 last year.
why must it always be about money...gta4 sold just fine on ps3 as well as 360...360 only sold more cuz 360 has a years headstart and has more owners...not by much tho...with that said i can c it being exclusive AGAIN so they can do with it what they are doing with mgs4 and showing off the true blu ray disc power...and again if it does make it to 360 it will be multiple discs
