GTA Chinatown Wars Confirmed for the PSP!!!

Well, there you go. The game has been confirmed by Rockstar to be coming over to the PSP,most probablyas a launch title for PSP Go!, though it will also be available on UMD.

What do you guys think? I personally found it to be the best handheld GTA, and now its on the PSP too! Megaton, what do you think, huh?????

Great news, Another awesome psp game coming out soon.

Very cool! I'm not sure how it will work, because it had a lot of touch-screen specific actions (throwing grenades, hot-wiring cars, etc), but I'm sure Rockstar will find a way to make it work. I already have it for DS so I probably won't get it, but that's great news for PSP owners. I'm seriously considering buying a PSP for LittleBigPlanet alone.

That's good news. I own the DS version and it was amazingly fun. And I actually might download this version if Rockstar makes enough changes.

I guess GTA fans will be happy. But doesn't interest me.

Seems more like GTA 1/2 to me but eh, if anyone can pull it off it's Rockstar.

They have quite a rep to live up to though after the "Stories" series.

Hard to top those on PSP..

The only thing that I'm questionable about this game is how are they going to make it as good as the DS version? The DS has it's advantages with the game using every point of the DS Touch Screen, while PSP has no Touch Screen.

actully I never liked the GTA series, but this game actully seems interesting so I might get it for the PSP. any recommendations on other GTA games? cause I really didn't like the whole idea behined 3, vice city, san andreas and 4, but maybe I'll like this one.

im not excited at all. i dont like the top-view gta's. though in their time, i played every day and all of them hehedarkPSPfan

After seeing this news, I'm assuming Rockstar will change the game to be in the 3rd person on PSP, like the other PSP GTA's. I agree, top-down view sucks.

in fact, I most likely won't buy the game if it's in top-down view.

i don't know it wasn't dat good on the ds so we'll just see how it is .

chinatown wars came out the same time as resistance retribution did for the psp. and yet chinatown wars got better reviews than resistance did. so i am glad rockstar is finally coming to its senses and giving psp users that game as well. i was dissapointed cuz ds got it and we didn't. i remember playing gta 2 and gta 1 a long long time ago. i downloaded the demo version then, and it was asking me to pay to unlock the full version. i played the demo over and over and over, but they had a time limit which sucked. cant wait to get my hands on this one!

Good to see Rockstar has confirmed it. It seems to be a port but nevertheless I am going to get it since I was very excited about the DS version. I have not played the DS version but I really enjoyed GTA 1 and 2 and I hope this will give me the same gameplay.

As a gamer I am very irritated by this!!! Chinatown Wars was a DS exclusive right? PSP had exclusives then they got ported. Chinatown Wars has a lot of touch screen play plus it was built for the DS! With DS type radio stations ( not real music) PSP is going back to Liberty City WHY WHY WHY!!!!??? We went there already can we at least get a new city please? Man they should have ported it over to the Wii. If your going to give PSP a GTA it has to be better than LCS & VCS Was CTW better? Maybe a tie, but man this is not cool. PSP didn't need that game. Sucks!

I cannot wait for this, this is gonna brutally murder DS i hope its going to be 3D. Imagine reinvented liberty city with amazing detail on a crappy UMD LOL

you guys are getting it all wrong. its a PORTED version from DS. that does not mean its a whole new game re created in 3D. It is the same exact game from DS with different conrtrols adjusted for the PSP and changes made since there is no touch screen for the PSP. THIS will NOT BE in 3D and the story line will be the same. I am happy to get it just cuz it is a really good game with great reviews. I have played much worse games on the psp even though it was in 3D like wolverine for example. SO 3D and visuals doesn't entirely mean great if you don't consider gameplay, storyline and presentations. Top view can just as be good just like killzone: liberation for the psp.

For those of you complaining about the game not being completely re done and complaining about not getting new content or a totally new GTA game for the psp, you know what.. just be content with what you get. it's better than nothing. people complain about everything these days and never happy with what they can get.
