I am pretty sure people will still buy it regardless. Especially if the game is fun. Killzone liberation for the PSP had a birds eye view and people still enjoyed that game.

Ehhh ???? it has been known for months its a DS port. By port I was thinking they`ll make it look like GTA:VCS or LCS

It's not 2D. The game is in full 3D. Yeah right :lol: Well there just trying to match the game to the nintendo ds version. But it does look a little bit like the DS version only the PSP version looks a little smoother.

I've been waiting for this to come to PSP before I decided which version to buy... and to be honest I think the DS version looks better. I loved how it was sort of cartoony and was a throwback to the original topdown arcade fun of the original games. This kind of looks like a step towards the realism of GTA IV. Not that I don't like the new GTA games, but it's not really what I'd want from a handheld GTA. I just hope the graphics aren't an indication as to how it will play and it plays like the DS version.

yeah its just up to the game critics to deicide if its a bad game or not for the PSP version. Sometimes they make mistakes and some people like them more even though some games get rated bad.

It's not 2D. The game is in full 3D. Yeah right :lol: Have you ever actually looked at the game? The game is full polygonal 3D. It was on the DS, so I would assume it would be like that on the PSP.
i can't wait to play this game. original gta1 and 2 were like this top birds eye view and it was loads of fun, fast paced action. the game didn't sell well on the DS because of variety of wrong reasons and had nothing to do with the game itself. i am happy to get another game and not going to complain that it was not remade again to be a 3rd person view like the previous gta titles for the psp.

Then you must not know what port means then.
There not gonna remake the entire game just becasue some people dont like the view, espeically not when it wasnt a hot seller to beign with.

Also, in regards to the camera, "If it isn't broken why fix it?"
I actually played this game quite a bit on my way to North carolina today for vacation...LOVE it.
BUTTTT! Now I am mad because the PSP screens look so much better than my DS version. Looks like this is going to be traded in at some point....damnit! PSP looks so much crisper.
You might as well get the DS version. It's just updated graphics. Dang! I was hoping it would have the same view as the previous GTA games that were put on the psp:x! Who knows though it might be good. I want 3D though! :x Ugh:roll:

I was just talking about the top down view and that the graphics looked better than the DS Version.

I'm not getting this game. I played it on the DS and I wasn't very impressed to be honest. The top-down view is a big turn-off for me as I got used to the 3rd person view since it was implemented in GTA3; and I bet this is the reason it didn't sell so well on the DS. Admit it. If it was from a 3rd person view like the other, it would have sold like hotcakes.
Glad that some people actually want this game. I was pretty disappointed when I heard the next PSP GTA was a port of a game I've played already. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I honestly don't think it will be very fun on the PSP, and it just seems lazy on Rockstars part.
I was really hoping for GTA: Sin City. They already own the name, and they could of just copied the island(Los Venturas) from San Andreas and update it a bit.
It was pretty much expected that they (Rock*) would improve the graphics on the PSP version. But what I still hate is the fact that they insist on keeping the top-down view. Having played the DS version, top-down GTA is just awful, and just asking for you to want to curse and rage and throw the handheld on the ground when you mess up for the umpteenth time because the camera refused to let you see that upcoming gang member or that **** cop that nailed you for a wanted for the sixth time in a row.
