i just got it there and put it in. i already know how gta games work so it isnt all that important to read the textut some text is cut off. the game is being displayed bigger than my screen and i dont know how to resize it (like with warhawk and pixeljunk monsters) i really want to get this working please help.

im also having problems with the visuals. it is very very dark at night i can hardly see the road so i make it brighter and its fine. then when daytime comes the screen is too bright what can i do>?

I don't have the game but I found that if the game has a option menu then the game can be tweeked from this menu (this goes for any game with the option). I found that on a HDTV that by playing around with the game options and the TV's settings you can get the game to look like it should regardless of the amount of light in the room your in and the amount of light that's in the game. I found that by using the reduced power option on my TV helped a good bit and bringing the amount of color down also helped (to much color can ruin the picture). Also is your TV set for full screen and if your using a SDTV then you may need to make some changes in the menus that will put the full game on the screen (this would leave a blank area on the top and bottom of the screen).

Well as for the too big for the screen shpiel, my guess would be that your view mode on the tv is the problem. It's probably in zoom. Set it to normal. I don't know what the technical name is, but most tvs have different display settings like "Zoom 1", "Zoom 2", "4:3", "Stretch", "16:9". That's assuming you've got a widescreen. If you've got a standard def tv, then I can't help you.

And the brightness deal I can't help you either because I just popped the game in for 15 minutes, and then took a break for breakfast... hopefully I don't run into the same problem.

I'm with this guy. The game wouldn't be set to not fit your TV screen, especially an HDTV resolution. check your TV's setting, I guarantee you have it set for zoom.

Seeing he has a HDTV then the normal mode should fix the problem of the size of the game. If this is the case then the TV's settings are most likely the problem with everything else. With HDTV's the ambient light in the room makes a big difference and a Plasma HDTV with to much ambient light is almost impossible to see regardless of how it's set with to much ambient light. The LCD's are forgiving with extra ambient light. The ambient light is the amount of sunlight that's in the room.

There is a brightness option. It definitely helps that part of the problem.

Small parts of my screen are cut off, too. Also, the cell phone listings are almost impossible to read on my TV (Toshiba HD)

Other than that, I'm having a great time.
