[QUOTE="higherARC"][QUOTE="DoctorWan"] [QUOTE="ForTheNguyen"]It said that the animation of car jacking would be impressive and massive radio channels, using Blu-ray. Will the xbox version be gimped like an old man's utensil?DoctorWan
If you had a 360 you would know that you can use your HDD for custom soundtracks on any game. So if there isn't enough music for your liking in GTA4, hey just create your own sountrack on your HDD. Music won't be a problem.
Too lazy to cut and paste, but OPM wrote something like, "Niko uses his elbow, broke the windows of the driver side, and hopped into the car. Camera angle changed..."
and Dan Houser said, "I'ts a challenge for both versions, pain and pleasure for both." Not having blue ray on 360 is definately holding back some stuff, and they havent found a way to use SixAxis, and not all the kinks have been worked out for both version..
I am not trying to be a fan boy and whatever, bc i own all 3 systems, but u know on paper, the PS3 is more impressive and has bigger drive and all ps3s comes with a HDD, if anything. The PS3 version will be gimped to suit the 360 version..not the other way around.... that is the bad thing about multiplatforming; you work with the lowest denominators of both systems and do not take advantage of anything....but if they decide to spend the time to max out each system, it could be great. who knows
If you had a 360 you would know that you can use your HDD for custom soundtracks on any game. If the music on GTA4 isn't much for your liking, hey just create your own soundtrack to play while roaming around Liberty City. I got a feeling they'll do the same thing as Def Jam: Icon by letting you create a radio station with the soundtracks on the HDD.
Of course i am aware of this function, which i do not use at all. I believe that the music is an integral part of the game the director intended it to be. If you have played the previous GTA before you will know what i mean, the satire they put in those radio station is part of the experience, blocking it out with your own sound track which you probably listen to on ur ipod 24/7 anyways, what is the point of producers putting out grandiose musical scores anymore?
People stress so much on useless features IMO, games has their musics, such as classical FF musics, MGS musics (very nice), and Lair (have u heard it? very very nice ethnic presentation). Putting ur own soundtrack in game is not all that great.
GTA 4 is set in modern times. The music I listen to is modern. So why wouldn't it be an integral part of the game. It'll make the experience more realistic since it'll be like real life where there's no 30 sum songs but unlimited of music songs to listen to in the car. And having custom sound tracks is very important to me because if you play a game like virtual fighter you'll don't want to listen to the same music over and over and over again especially with friends over I use the custom soundtracks while playing DOA 4. I wish I could use custom soundtracks for Motorstorm because the music sucks and I have to listen to that crap over and over again. This is why custom soundtracks is a plus.
