I think all three games are awesome, but were I to pick one I'd go with GTA4 simply because of the longer and more developed storyline. Though really, I kinda view them all as three parts of the same game, so...
Episodes from Liberty City I like better Ballad of Gay Tony had the missions I wanted that were over the top and fun and the missions had plenty of variety I also thought the characters were better more entertaining, not forgetting the soundtrack was excellent best out of the 3 games. Lost and Damned was good also. I thought GTAIV was great at first but I got bored of it easily GTAIV the missions I thought were boring and Niko was pretty dull. I hope Rockstar bring back Vice City or San Andreas.
The Ballad of Gay Tony was def the best, its what GTA 4 should of been, better characters, better music tracks, pretty much everything was better except that there was no variety of multiplayer of GTA 4 and The Lost and Dammed.

GTA Episode of Liberty City is far better then GTA 4, you get more weapons more cars 3 nightclubs to enjoy and manage you get a parachute to enjoy and online is better to enjoy with all the new content, the ballad of gay tony story on its own beats gta 4 storyline hands down
The ballad is best. Cool weapons and crazy missions I don't remember much from Lost and Damned GTA4 starts off really slowly and although it is alot longer it has the least variety which leads to it becoming really repetitive.
Old topic, but what the hell. I think they're about the same given they're pretty much the same game but with different stories, and with the episodes being shorter of course. But I give the edge to the episodes, especially for the Ballad of Gay Tony for especially going over the top and having the most enjoyable missions out of them all.
GTA4 for sure. i think its one of the best games this gen. i loved ballad of gay tony too, the crispy graphics are really refreshing. i didnt care for the biker one to be honest.
the ballad for sure more cars more weapons crazy misssions and everything is way more fun i tried tgbogt and i really liked it and also tried lost and damned still more better then gta 4 any way gta 4 requires better computer specs while episodes from liberty city doesnt need extreme specs i tried gta iv it lags like hall its like 1 frame per second i tried episodes from liberty city it give me 15 fpsits like +14 fps more than gta iv i dont choose by the lag i choose whats more fun have it your way i vote for episodes from liberty city
