GTA muiltyplayer is wak

i enjoy it though i feel i'd enjoy it alittle more if there wasnt an auto-aim button. It seems to take away any real skill in killing people

you can host a match and disable that option i think, and yeah i enjoy it too, i played 2 hours yesterday but its not the best thing on earth

i didnt know that, im rarely the host though. i usually just jump into games ive been invited to and play along with friends though i'll look out for that, see if i can convince some of my friends to play without it.

I know, people in cars pretty much have a disadvantage cuz you cant auto aim in cars for some reason

Auto-aim definitely ruins it but not many hosts disallow it.

Stupid match-making-system also makes it harder to find a game with it disallowed.

I have no idea why, but i find myself playing gta4 story more then online play.. When its come to online play, i usually just pop in cod4 ( unfortuantly Metal Gear Beta is over ). Is it me, or is the GTA 4 muiltyplayer wak?? My friend has xbox360 and plays gta4 online on all his free time, but hasnt even touched single player... what the deal?GFreydson

The shooting controls in GTA4 aren't precise enough to kill anyone without auto-aim. I'm definitely one of the people that will run away screaming if I see that option turned off.

I'm personally getting tired of starting my own game, and having to wait foreeeever for it to fill up with people. Also, when I join someone else's game, and the "leader" doesn't start the game, even though there are a ton of people waiting. There needs to be text chat so you can say "hurry the hell up! let's go!!!"

I also don't understand why people set up games that use the entire city, but only set the game for 5 minutes. It takes five minutes to find anyone!

Having the police on in deathmatch is moronic, IMO. Every time you kill anyone, they're all over you! How is that fun?

One last thing. TURN THE FREAKIN' RESPAWN TIME TO 1 SECOND!!!

having the police on adds to the chaos... and sometimes it is better to have a little longer respawn time so that the person can move from the location where all the madness happened...and for the auto aim I am pretty good with it off and prefer it that way cause that way you wont have those cheap kills from people...

I guess my point is you cant really call everyone who doesnt want to play the way you want stupid or moronic... but hey it is your opinion dude so who the hell am I right... Oh but I do agree the host in the room needs to start the game as soon as it is decent...

I agree, i've only played the online portion of GTA4 once and i felt really alienated by it, i think the game probaly works better when you play with a group of people you know, (like a LAN game or something) but against random people its just not that interesting, the online is really over hyped, IMO much like the rest of the game for that matter.

I hate when that happens, it just shows how much they suck. Anyone could lock onto a person and move it up/down to get a kill instantly.
