GTA4 PS3...Where is it?

Don't know if the PS3 version will be equal to the Xbox360 but I assume Rockstar have pretty good devs so most probably both will be identical... Also seeing the huge hype surrounding GTA IV am sure Sony made all its possible to assist Rockstar so that they have all necessary tools to produce an excellent version of the game on PS3..

My hopes are high on this one !!!

This crap has been blown way out of proportion.

Whatever the content is it will be negligable at BEST. There is no reason any developer EVER would make a massive/significant amount of content for one version of their game over the other unless there is a SPECIFIC technical reason for doing so.

If anything the ps3 version should be getting whatever this crap is since it has the capacity to contain vastly more data anyway but thats another argument altogether.

MS paid rockstar for this not because it was worth it but because THEY KNOW how stupid people are and that the average moron who buys gta4 is going to assume this exclusive content actually means anything when the most likely scenario is that it wont.
Thus they'll be under the impression that the 360 version will be better, simply because ms tell them so.

Personally I hate microsoft for this, not because I care about the content at all or what platform but for the simple fact they are exploiting consumers as usual and using sad underhanded dirty marketing AS USUAL to sell there **** xbox.

People need to open there **** eyes, turn on there brains and wake up to reality. This game will be IDENTICAL on BOTH machines, the extra content MEANS NOTHING and you know what, I'd be willing to bet this supposed exclusive crap eventually comes out on psn for the ps3 version. and PSU said that it will be on par with the Xbox 360 and R* has even thought about putting the episodic content on the PS3 as well so i bet we will also being seeing that episodic content

You can rest assured it will be nowhere near as big as the content on the 360, I personaly think this is unfair but 50million pretty much secures a spot at the top content-wise. It was been toted to be 'huge' but we'll see, keep in mind the huge sum of money MS paid for exclusivity.

I would not rule out the possibility of the PS3 getting significant content upgrades. In fact, I would be surprised if the PS3 version did not get this type of support. However, as kieran88 said above, MS dished out the big bucks for a reason. Now, whether or not the X360 exclusive content will be worth a damn is obviously unknown at this point. I think it's important to note that I'm only relaying information in the most unbiased way I can. There is no need to rant and curse and threaten Bill Gates' first-born (*ahem*Azuki*ahem*) in blind defense of a version of a game you've never laid eyes on.

I would like to say something about these supposed vice city or SA expansions. If you look at the time it took to make each of those games, then to say there going to release pretty much an entirly new game in the fall as downloadable content, give me a break. The time constraints, the cost everything that would be needed is not covered by MS's 50 mil. it would not make good buisness sense to release an entirly new game, cause apparently thats what some of you think you're going to get, so soon after the release of GTA4.

And if it really is that big ur going to be paying for it, looking at $40-$50 for it, that would have to cover MS loss of 50 mill given to R* then the cost of R* making this content. it won't be worth it.

totally agree. If both version are the same (on release) why not buy the one that got extra stuff.

I highly doubt there will be any difference in game quality. For such a big name release it should be identical.

Various previews have hinted that the content would be huge, go look for yourself it's no secret. Anyway, it's not my words, i have no way of telling personaly.

Also, 2headedhawaiian, I agree that it's likely PS3 will get content, but I doubt it would be anything close to what 50million would secure. At the end of the day, it's a business ran by proffesionals, not fanboys who do things for free just to support a system.

Keep in mind you have absolutely no idea what the extra content will be. But if it's half as big as they are saying it WILL be significant, stop trying to somehow defend the ps3 because of this. Yes, I love my ps3, it has it's fair share of great games. But for GTA the 360 will eventualy offer the complete package, to think anything short of this after all we've been officialy told is just a testament to fanboyism.

Agree. Why not get the version where you will get more for your money? I definitely will be getting this one for the 360.

I think you're just trying to defend yourself here. I wasn't aiming the fanboy statement at you, I realise now reading it that it seemed that way, so sorry, I was meaning in general. also, if you've read my posts from the beginning, you'd see that I disagree with the exclusivity but people need to get it into their heads that it is infact exclusive and it will be significant. As for "the game has enough to do in it anyway" So did oblivion but it has the best DLC to date for any game. You can't just shrug it off because it's not the version you're getting and as far as "more of the same" I've been playing GTA since the first one came out, of course I want more of it - thats the point....

M$ is pathetic,,, they should be correcting their embarassment of a system with its hardware problems.

If you get the 360 version, youll get extra DLC which you will have to pay for, and youll have to always worry about your system breaking every time you turn it on

If you get the ps3 version you get an already huge game, and a system that will be able to handle it. $50M is not nearly as much money as you guys think (R* turned down $2B from EA)
