gta4 vs all the hype

:)hi gamers. i have the standard gta4 copy for the ps3, sealed and unopened, but don't have a ps3 yet, hopefully i'ma get one around june coz of mgs4. back to the topic, is gta4 like all just the hype and didn't satisfy you or didn't meet your expectations?, a.k.a. for example like the movie trailers of spider-man 3 and superman returns were so awesome but when you came out of the cinema u were like 'what the hell'? does this game shouldve have been waaay better or what? coz i'm hearing mixed reviews anout it.. is it like assassin's creed dissapointment? thanx for the responses i highly appreciate it. peace. game on!8)

However, it's still fun as hell :)

If you haven't played a GTA game before then this is a 10, but having played others in the series I would say it's still a good just not as high as every reviewer is touting. I would put it in the 8.5 + range...

AC was a total disappointment to me, I do see why some love it but It just didn't work for me. Glad I didn't have to buy it , was able to borrow it from my friend who didn't care for it all that much either..

I agree with the majority here, this game did not live up to the hype. But how could it?

Gamespot treated GTA IV as if it was made by the hand of God. A perfect 10? Get real Gamespot.

There is no doubt that GTA IV is a fun game. But it is nothing more than a detailed, polished version of San Andreas.

Well...

1) It does live to the up to the hype.

2) It doesnt deserve a 10... mayb a 8.5-9

3) It has everythin but its missin something

4) Its graphics arent up to par with the other games on the consoles.

By the way dude srz u bought gta4 but u dont have a ps3?!? Craziness is there a real reason to wait for mgs4 2 get a ps3??

In my opinion the game deserved no less than a 9.5 but it also deserved a ten. Really what game offers you four massive interactive massive environments, multiple cars and vehicles with varying speeds and handling, next gen graphics, music stations, excellent voice acting, memorable characters, animation, and other content. I've yet to see any other game create a realistic or fictional sandbox game with as much depth and polish while maintaining the style of its predecessors. hulk ultimate destruction, spiderman and superman are examples of games that are in the same sea as this one but despite gta none of them have lived up to the quality. saints row was another attempt to nail the formula and despite blending previous ideas executedin older gta's it lacked the style to stand on its own. Im sorry but they gave you the complete package with a lot of polish with enhanced visuals and multiplayer. As large as the game is you would think that it would suffer from a lot of bugs or other issues. I would say this game has epic status like its predecessors and put it along side world of warcraft. But the great thing about this game is you only have to pay 60 dollars for it as opposed to a subscription and internet fee's if you have the ps3. Ladies and gentle men tell me what would you have done to push this game beyond the stratosphere. They gave you the complete package at an affordable fee. I bought gta3 before the hype. I bought it on a whim and at that time it was one of the greatest games created. This game needed no hype to get a 10 rating. If you want to talk about a game with hype we should talk about halo3.Solidshark21
