Yes GTA4 was amazing, best gangster game ever imo! 9.5/10! But option 1 was closst to how I felt about the game!
really good game, but with minor issues evident often and the boring environment lead to an underwhelming experience compared to the 10 out of 10 hype it had. Is it still at least a 9, of course but theres a big difference between that and a 10.
Amazing game, absolutely outstanding!
Loved every minute of it and with the addition of TLaD & TBoGT it had even more appeal.
One of those games that only ever come round rarely and even a couple of years on with 100% I'm still playing and the multiplayer lobbies are still being used a lot, so much replay value.
9.5/10 + TLaD & TBoGT = 12/10
Hated it.
But I'm sure at least part of that was the fact that I just no longer found the premise or setting very interesting. Hopefully I'll enjoy RDR a lot more, as the setting actually appeals to me.
I just finished GTA last night actually. It was a good game, not my favorite in the series. Radio sucked, there humor is too crude and the storyline was lacking. Those are the reasons I probably won't replay it after the first play through.
i find it was boring and repetitive, san andreas is my favorite game ever so my expectation were huge and it didn't deliver. Saint rows 2 and rdr are a 100x times better
I found money so pointless in GTA4
in previous games you could buy businesses, do missions etc
in this money was nearly pointless, when you had millions of dollars there was nothing to do with it.
vice city and san andreas where sooo much better!
I'll admit there are expected elements missing, but despite this it's still a great game and I still play it now.
There is alot more they could have done with RDR, but I don't seem to hear as many complaints about that.
I thought it was good for the first few days then it's just boring especially when people are phoning you up wanting to do something it was just annoying plus Niko was quite dull I thought. The Ballad of Gay Tony was a lot better though the characters were more likeable and it was entertaining and Luis was more interesting then Niko. In my opinion Tommy Vercetti is still the best GTA main character and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is still the best GTA game in the series.
This is one of my all-time favorite games, I absolutely loved it. I've played through the story at least ten times, and have completed the game to 100% twice (once each on 360 & PS3), and have completed all of the single player achievements/trophies on both consoles. Absolutely great game, I can't see how people can dislike this game.
i've started RDR yesterday and i think both are a bit overrated, i mean far from bad, but with all the hype and the trailers that leave you dying for it... doesnt taste as good in the end, when you get your hands on it i'm afraidafter playing RDR im soooo happy its better than GTA4 as i was so underwhelmed with that game.

10/10, no other open world game comes close. I never thought I'd say it, but I like GTA IV more than I did San Andreas.
I feel like some people that dislike the game just maybe didn't give it a chance. I've heard some say "I played for about an hour, it was boring. Never played it again" Really? Wow... I'm glad I didn't do that. It took me a good 50+ hours before I really started appreciating and really enjoying the game. The more and more I played it, the more I realized that it did deserve its scores.
I also always see a lot say "good, but not a 10. too flawed to be a 10" Where are the flaws? What serious, major flaws are there that actually detract from the experience? All I'm seeing everytime I play the game is an amazing, fun, near flawless game, with only minor issues such as a framerate issue here and there. I've never encountered a serious glitch or problem. So... what are these serious flaws people speak of? How is the game "too flawed" to deserve a 10? Bu... bu.. but, Roman calls so much!
Really? Put the phone in sleep mode if you don't want to get any calls. I've seen people complaining about stuff like this as if it were a serious flaw. :| It's ok to dislike the game, but to call it really flawed seems a bit ridiculous to me, because as much as I've played the game, you'd think I would've noticed any significant issues.
