GTAIV, should i buy it or rent it?

What do you guys think i personally am leaning toward renting it but, since GS gave it a 10 i have been thinking about buying it. what do you think i should do?

Rent it to see if you like it I guess, then buy it if ya dig it. It does start to get repetitive and boring though. I am 29% done and I have no desire to keep going. Same old stuff over and over...

its good to hear an honest opinion... I have always thought that about GTA games, Its fun to occasionally mess around in, but I've never liked earning peoples respect and doing little deeds for them...

Buy it. Aside from the obvious that it's a quality game, here's why:

1) A lot of the game opens up after several hours in. Things like the cell-phone, Internet, other islands, street races, assassin missions, etc. -- These things are not available (or not fully available) until you've progressed. Unless you totally crack out on the game, a few casual hours from a rental won't let you see the real bulk of the game.

2) Much of the joy of GTA is the subtlety and stuff that isn't right in your face. Hilarious things happen here and there, and you may not notice them right at first.

3) The multiplayer is varied, and it's fun even when you're losing -- the mark of a good multiplayer game.

ive barely touched multiplayer yet(just a lil in the begainning) the story is great and the single player missions are great so no its not just the multiplayer

keyword-beginning..... I was in absolute awe after playing the game for about 2-3 hours. Now i have NO desire to finish the game. I plan on selling it sometime this week.

i meant i played multiplayer in the begainning i actually am close(or at least i think i am about 20 hours through the story) to beating the main story the game is GREAT
