GTAIV too many flaws

I luv this game but jesus **** christ I hate how they changed the old reliables,, the car handling is ****ing horrible ,, what they trying to do,, be realistic?? What kinda realism is that when i cant even do a proper turn around the corner without possibly crashing,, i cant tell you how many chase missions I have to replay cos of this ****.....

and then the whole getting rid of cops thing,, i'd rather have the old GTA wanted ****where you just lay low for a while instead of this whole location radar BS,, even 1 star has cops chasing you evrywhere. With that said Im also pissed off how you cant do nothing fun in this game without the cops breathing down your neck,, like for instance,, im at a bar ,, shot just one dude,, there were no cops around nothing,, then how the **** did i get a one star coming out???

Uhmmm...the car handling, while admittedly looser, is fine. You get used to it quickly and I never once had problems crashing on turns or losing chase missions.

Second, the cops thing is not one bit different than past GTA games. You couldn't just lay low if there were cops around, regardless of your wanted level. You still had to get a certain distance away from the cops and then not get into trouble to avoid new cops noticing. That isn't any different than GTA4, they just present it differently. Its the same idea just given a different wrapping paper. And whether there are cops around or not, committing a crime in ANY GTA game nets you at least a star. If there are no cops around, that just means you lose the wanted rating quicker. That isn't one bit different.

Sorry, but I seriously have to question your knowledge or experience with past GTA games if you don't even know how the previous wanted levels worked.

Sorry but you're wrong! I admit that the car handling is tricky, but only when first starting off. If you break when going round corners and turn then you will be fine. But you can't expect to hold R2 to accelerate round a corner and then not crash.

Plus, the cop escaping is fine and a good gameplay mechanic. If you have trouble escaping a 1 star wanted level, then I'm sorry, but you're obviously no good at the game and will never complete it. Later on you will be escaping 2 and 3 star wanted levels during missions contstantly, so good luck completeing the game. :P

This is how I turn and it works quite well. When coming to a turn hold down r2 always and then break with l2 keeping r2 down this keeps your rev up and u wont loos so much power. Hit the x button briefly to get the car to loosen the back tires up and turning in direction of turn. Then u want to take the inside of the turn, and with practice u will drift like me :P.

Just more reasons why GTA 4 was not that great at all. Vice City is still the best. Oh,, and that comma thing is strange. I'm not trying to be funny,, but I just don't understand that.

The car handling get around you quickly. it took my around 15 minutes to become a pro at driving. ( GTA4= Realism is supposed to exist in this game). And the getting rid of the cops thing is made easier for you in this game!!!. And you think you cant do anything fun in this game.. go check out youtube, their are tons of cool thing you can do( stunts)!!!

btw you can't corner well with vehicles because obviously you dont use the brakes and instead are just trying to take a corner without slowing down. and if the cops bother you that much, use cheats. everytime you get a wanted level, remove it instantly with the cheatDoolz2024

I admit Ima bit rusty when it comes to GTA but I played thru San Andreas and some of VC years ago,, the car handling is soo much better in those games,, i can acctually stop the car with the brake button when turning around corners and drive on,, what i mean is i can drive full speed and use the brake option knowing that i wont swirl around and crash into something,, same goes for when your on a bike,, one little thud and i fall off the bike and i mean little..

And as the wanted lvl system,, no it does not work like previous games,, previous games if i get 1 star i normally just dont do **** for a while in a safe place (example: Carls Hood or inside a store etc),, cops dont chase after you unless they nearby,, not to mention you can do alot more illegal crap before you even get to that stage unlike GTA4,, Example: i jack a car without any cops nearby drove like 5 sec and then all of a sudden a wanted star,, I kill one or two bodyguards inside a strip club and suddenly a wanted star,, and to get rid of the star i have to drive outside the radar zone that is if cops dont spot me while outside... I just like the old system better.

Maybe now we see why a lot of people hate on this game, because they absolutely suck at it. The only thing I would complain about the wanted level system is that at 6 stars they dont let you get out of it, I mean they should at least give you a chance.

and when the hell i say Im not having fun?? When did i say i didnt know there these lil extra goodies you can do like intenret dating,, looking thru police comp,, accessing sites thru cafe,, darts,, pool w/e I've discoverd evrything in San Andreas and there was quite alotta extra things to do,, like finding special locations etc... So i know what is install for me in GTA4

And I love the game,, im just a lil pissed of at a couple of dumb crap thats all.

Your right i do Suck at GTA4
But i was a pro at previous games,, previous games i can survive thru 4 and get to 5 or 6 stars without cheating,, i find these neat lil tricks and locations where i can have fun Example: runned down building outside Garage in San Fierro or grabbing minigun ammo over San Fiero hidden location over and over again till i get ennuff to do some total mayhem,, Fun stuff like outside Las Venturas strip mowing downppl with a stock full of explosives and then saving so i can grab whatever is left behind,, FBI van,, tanks .....

You mention hitting the brake button and stopping without swirling around...here's a tip. Don't slam on the brake button. Treat it like a real brake pedal on a car and feather that sucker. And as far as turns go, slow down before the turn.

You shoot a guy at a bar (or anywhere for that matter) do you really not expect someone nearby to take out their cell phone and call the police with your location? And if the cops know where you are, they're going to set up a search perimeter, thats just how things work. 1 star has like 2 cop cars doing a search radius of like 2 blocks. Just drive straight and you'll get away from 1 star with no problem.

Secondly, the cops system is again more realistic now. I like how you said you "just shot one dude" as if that shouldn't trigger police action. In old GTA's, just punching someone could cause police action if they were nearby. Now, in GTAIV, the police don't need to be near by because people have cell phones and they will call and report you. That's why there's a delay. You killed a guy, and most likely another customer called the police on you.

Nope, maybe your just not very good at using the brake.
