ill start by saying im not trying to make a ps3/xbox war or get banned

situation: my buddy has xbox and i went over and played forza 2, and its pretty freakin sweet. then i went home and played the GTHD demo, i hadnt played it since probably xmas

question: so is the GTHD demo basically what the real game is going to be like? ie: no damage, no in car view and no visual mods? after playing forza 2 it seems like all these things should be mandatory in a game but if they hadnt planned it before then they probably wont add it now, im just kinda worried that GTHD is going to be GT4 in HD :?

nways GTHD is running on GT4 engine so there you ahve it. GT5 is running on its own engine.

visual mods should not be in a simulation game.

If you want visual mods buy Need for Speed or Juiced.

GT has always been about the driving sim and pretty damn awesome at it IMO.

IMHO: GTHD looks better than Forza 2, but dosent drive as well. FORZA 2 team chose Realistic controls over Graphics. Which is good or bad depending on who you are.

Yeah, driving is all that's gonna be different. But the bigger picture is that GT HD is just GT4 in HD and shouldn't be compared to Forza 2 graphics wise or gameplay wise. Its just really agame that was supposed to be fill the gap before GT5, but was screwed up and made intoa demo. Now the actual GT5 is gonna blow Forza 2 out of the water.

GTHD is done. It's not a demo. It is what it is and that's it. They were originally going to charge per car - but realized it wouldn't have gone down real well with people, since it's just a upgraded version of GT4.

GT5 better have those things....GT4 should have had them. The problem is that GT5 hasn't even been announced and the team was working on GTHD till the end of last year. The earliest you'll see GT5 is late 2008, and maybe 2009.

mind showing me where you got all of this information? all of this is false. the track isn't even in gt4, so how could it be gt4 in hd? and the cars drive completely different than in gt4, which isn't noticeable to people who haven't spent hundreds of hours playing the gt series. upgraded gt4? yes, but it's not exactly gt4 but prettier

Okay this is the situation. They first started off with GTHD which was just GT4's engine with some new cars and slightly upgraded visuals in HD and a few tracks. They were going to release it as a full game with a few tracks and you'd have to buy the rest and buy cars, but they saw how people reacted and decided to scrap the idea therefore giving us this demo. It was really more of a tech demo than anything, but whatever it's not even close to a full version of a game so I hate how people are comparing it to Forza 2. Personally I think GTHD looks better than Forza 2 but that's it because Forza 2 is a full game whereas GT:HD is not. Just wait for GT5 to appear.

LMFAO well cleary if you read my post you'd know that GTHD is just GT4's engine with high res graphics that's it and a few new cars. Of course Forza 2 is going to be better it's a complete game GTHD is like a half baked idea...

well having played both (and gthd is a 1080p gt4) there both good games in there own right forza 2 is the more realistic game but itchoose realism over graphics and something even more important playability i think forza 2 single player gets abitboring after awhile and not having the cockpit view is abit strange. gt5has been confirmed to have cockpit views not sure about damage though?

basically the equation is

forza 2 = Realism over depth

GTHD/gt4= for the car enthusiast a good mixture of realism and fun

GT5=should follow the same formula as above

What a witty remark. Bravo.

and fastgamer01 don't go judging GT5 if you haven't even played it.
