Guitar hero 3 controller problems

Hi everyone, just got guitar hero 3 as a Christmas gift and it just won't work. The problem seems to be that the orange fret is constantly pushed down even though i don't touch the Les Paul controller. I knew there were some problems with the guitars but I thought they at least would work

Anyone got a way to solve this? or is it just me who got unlucky with a ****** guitar? Really wanna try the game out, the sound track rocks ;)!

Tried it and still got the problem :(

Here is what i have done so far:

1: The neck thingy, re-attached it about 100 times

2: Changed batteries

3: Changed USB-port for the usb thingy

4: Tried resetting the playstation a couple of times

5: Tried to turn of our router

Nothing works :( guess i will have to exchange it on wednesday since all stores are closed tomorrow :( i hate activision!

Don't hate Activision. If you had gone with Rock Band you would have had a lot more problems, and less chance of getting trouble free instruments, even after exchanging them.

No, you can still hate Activision...for coming up with terrible charts for songs, and giving no innovation to the Guitar Hero series.abeautifullmind

Yeah, I could have had Rock Band this Christmas if I wanted it, my parents were ready to buy it for me, the whole bundle, but I backed out and said no after seeing the large number of people reporting problems with all 3 instruments, including people saying they were in their 3rd Guitar and it still wasn't good.
