Hello all...Now I know this question must have been posed on these forums a hundred times over, so indulge me one last time...My roommate recently purchased Guitar Hero III for the PS3, and I was imploring him to get Rock Band instead. I mean aside from the obvious price difference between the two, I just figured the multiplayer aspect of Rock Band makes it that much more appealing than GH III. Unfortunately, Activision and Harmonix haven't gotten their act together to come up with one universal guitar that you could use for both games, which stinks, and I don't know if anybody has enough money to shell out 100 bucks and then another 180 (plus tax) for the two. I figured I would leave it to the forum faithful to decide. Any suggestions? Pros, Cons? Get both? Get Neither? Thanks...
Well getting both would be the best option. If you can that is. Guitar Hero 3 is more difficult than Rock Band and it boast a more fun single player enviroment. If you have three or four friends(lol I hope you do) getting Rock Band would be better.
Speaking from experience because I have both. I would choose Rock Band. Guitar Hero 3 is a good game, however I like Rock Band more. If you have a HDTV to play the game on, Rock Band is easier to calibrate lag for. The soundtrack is awesome on both games, but Rock Band's set list keeps growing weekly not monthly like GH3.
IMO i say get both because where one fails the other one picks up GH3 is for hardcore Guitaring and ROCKBAND which i love to death i say the drums is the best part so when i want to beat the heck outa the drums i play rockband but when i wanna shred then i play GH3 hopefuly they make a patch to make the GH3 Guitar work for Rockband because i Hate the Fender Stratocaster its already broken on me and plus the GH3 guitar can take the punishment the RB guitar however cannot so imo get both youwont be disspleased
I have both and both are good, but Rock Band out shines GH3 easily. Now GH3 is my first guitar hero so I am not bias toward it. And to me the guitar is pretty much the same pn both although GH3 is probably harder, but you can not go wrong with Rock Band drums. They are so freakin' addicting. If I had to choose one I would definitely go with Rock Band.
i too have both of them and like said before, guitar hero 3 is better one player, and rock band is better multiplayer. also the rock band guitar i feel is waaay better. it is more realistic in size, and looks, and it has the extra frets for the solos which i think is really cool.
i dont have any friends so gh3 is my game :( . Seriously though rock band is fun if you have a lot of peole over, otherwise 2 player for guitar hero is fine
