I have both on preorder for the 360. All the rumors that Rock Band will not have a wireless controller for the 360 makes me consider the PS3 version. Problem with that is I have a ton of friends on Xbox Live that I'd like to play with online. I can't imagine the 360 version won't have a wireless guitar consider GH3 for sure does. I guess I'll find out.
For everyone who is picking Guitar Hero III, you do know that Rock Band is made by the same developers as Guitar Hero I and II, right? Guitar Hero III is going to be made by Activision's Neversoft brand (People who make Tony Hawk). Also for the person who was pending on getting it for either the ps3 or 360, Rock Band will be compatible with with either Guitar Hero Guitars or Rock Band Guitars.

I highly doubt they will change anything in GH III...it will be the same game as GH and GH II just new songs...

but boss battles sound rather lame to me
Maybe they will suck but I havent played the game so I dont know...All I know is Dragonforce is on GH III and thats enough to make me want to buy the game.
Both, even though it will cost alot. But you won't need to buy a guitar for each game so you can save some money. although Rock band's bundle price should be reduced if they want to outsell Guitar Hero. Rockband will have full album downloads, which is cool if they don't rip us off price wise(although for the amount the bundle cost there should be more songs, I heard only 40 in RockBand).

It Comes down to songs and GH3s music is more appealing to me

Well maybe $300 is a lot of money for some but look at the lasting appeal of both games with the addition of downloadable content. You can come on by and mow my lawn if you like and I'll pay you a couple bucks for your video game fund.
initially I will just be getting GH3, mostly due to the price of said games. Also I want to see if Rock Band takes off. I don't want to drop 100 or more dollars on a game thtats going to flop...
