The only thing that makes it a value is the fact that it comes with MGS4 in the box. Other than that, it's basically the same as the 40GB unit that many have come to loathe. No BC, few USB ports, no flash card slots. And really, the whole color thing is overrated. It'd be more impressive it was made with actual gun metal, but that would jack the price up beyond believe, and make it heinously heavy - too heavy for even those gamers who go to the gym every other day to lug around. It'd be much more cost-effective to just buy a replacement shell for your existing ps3 to make it into any color/design you want.codezer0
The value of this goes beyond monetary or function. It's a limited production item. Aside from that I've not heard of anywhere that sells full PS3 cases of varying color and finish that can be swapped without voiding warranty.
[QUOTE="codezer0"]Usually the people that obsessed with the color of their case won't give a **** about warranty.emitsu97
Which makes a limited production custom color case with warranty all that more attractive.
I don't see why. As I said, anyone that would have wanted a PS3 in a different color would just go do it and not give two **** about whether it would stay in warranty or not. because once they can get a replacement shell for it, the whole thing becomes their canvas.[QUOTE="emitsu97"][QUOTE="codezer0"]Usually the people that obsessed with the color of their case won't give a **** about warranty.codezer0

Think Halo 360 edition, except not the most god awful color imaginable, and actually comes with the game its named after. Also will probably not be available on shelves 2 years later due to people not wanting the horrible eyesore. Easier for you? Not everyone is gonna wanna paint their console and blow the warranty.
