Yeah help us gamers out, put Sony out of business.

Can I at least get my free games and LA Noire DLC at least!?
Come on hackers I just wanna play video games!
Sony hasn't been sitting down doing nothing these past few weeks. It'll be interesting to see if hackers can break through a proper a defense.
[QUOTE="nick21081"]this is just getting stupid. all your really doing is messing with us gamers.tjoeb123Not just gamers, but developers/publishers too.
anyone who has any kind of connection/relationship with a sony product is affected.
these include ps3/psp gamers, devs/pubs, stockholders, emloyer, employees, business partners, etc.
these hackers are damaging sony as a brand. i don't think they're specifically targetting
them as a playstation manufacturer, but more as a company.
At the end of the day, this costs us gamers. The intial hack costs gamers weeks of online gaming, access to DLC for games, access to the PSN store, confidential information breached and the list goes on.
And do you think PSN will be free whenever the PS4 comes out? Not a chance if sony has to spend millions defending hacking attacks.
Say what you want, but I kind of liked not having to pay for online gaming, regardless if it is inferior to XBOX live.
if it was a serious threat....they wouldnt be tweeting it.
yeah it sucks for sony but were coming to a digital age, anyone who didnt see hacking in epic proportions like this coming, didnt think very clearly
Yeah, seems like the "smart hackers" wouldn't be so arrogant as to threaten attacks. One would think they would just do their thing, revel in the immediate aftermath, then claim responsibility at a later date while the dust is still settling. In the meantime, the rest of us get screwed by default :(if it was a serious threat....they wouldnt be tweeting it.

RusianGrmReaper
all this becouse some idiot hacked the ps3 and got in trouble for it.
besides why are they hacking one of the few componys that dont hassle the developers, why cant tey be like heroes and take down EA or activision, those guys have had it coming for years now.

i know, the thing i still can't believe is those idiot hackers still think they are punishing sony and they are so busy being mad at sony that they don't see the truth and the truth being that they aren't only effecting sony
They deserved to be hacked the first time with their horrible security and not even having in place what they are supposed to to protect credit card information. After fixing problems for a month they better have some decent security in place, if not they could have just brought the system back up in a day or two.Legolas_Katarn
you do know that hackers can find ways to hack ANYTHING right? it doesn't matter how good or bad the security is, hackers will always find ways to hack anything they want to

Google Secruity
Sony
"In order to process credit cards, every company needs to be PCI compliant. "If you are a merchant that accepts payment cards, you are required to be compliant with the PCI Data Security Standard" [4]. Since Sony's network was "unpatched and had no firewall installed" [5], that is a clear violation of the PCI standards and ongoing reviews [4], thus likely to be criminal negligence [see Further Reading]. More importantly, "I can't think of a major data breach where the company was PCI compliant," said Ira Rothken, the lead attorney handling the c1ass action lawsuit"
"Sony's response to the U.S. Senate [8] is to request more laws and further the myth of "best practices." Since Sony was warned of security holes months in advance [5], one of those "best practices" would be to accept the advice of the experts. In Sony's passing the blame there is no justification for the collection and retention of personal information they didn't need."

Can you like mail me your wallet? ANYONE can be pickpocketed, so just save us both some time and frustration.
They deserved to be hacked the first time with their horrible security and not even having in place what they are supposed to to protect credit card information.Legolas_KatarnI agree. The first time they got hacked was a "teach you a lesson" thing. Now the hackers are just being douches. The whole idea behind the attacks was to make Sony remember we're not just giant wallets walking around. We're people. Now the hackers are screwing it up for the people they were doing this whole thing for.
Well I'm hoping that Sony has the measures in place to prevent this from happening. It's sad really. I would love to see these hackers get caught. I really would. They seem to have too much power. Cyber terrorism. Well I believe in karma so it'll come back to them :)
[QUOTE="nick21081"]this is just getting stupid. all your really doing is messing with us gamers.tjoeb123Not just gamers, but developers/publishers too. Indeed... this last debacle cost Sony somewhere in the area of $170 million... plus the confidence of a whole lot of people... we may never know the negative monetary effect that was (and still is) being felt by developers and publishers too...

But that brings up the question. How can developers lose "thousands, if not millions of dollars" (Capcom) in revenue from a mere outage? I just hope this doesn't become another Duke Nukem Forever...
Literally. Don't these idiots know that Sony has the FBI and Homeland Security on their side? Why hack Sony? They're are other bigger problems in this world to go after, but just only hack Sony just because they sued a lowlife hacker? They need to get a life. Seriously. Its pretty obvious the hackers are xbox fanboys. id like to see them try to take out the amish!
