Mine has frozen up aswell. Not too much, nothing to worried about. But just to be sure, call sony and tell them about your certain situation.

HDMI cables all are good. You can find some really cheap 10 buck ones online and stuff. No point in spending over 100 bucks for some HDMI cable.

PS3 was released too early, and the Blu-ray technology in the PS3 is only just above world standards. Its freezing up because the hardware cannot handle the blu-ray technology and SIXAXIS controller system. SIXAXIS isnt all its cracked up to be. Sorry to ruin your day, but the PS3 isnt all that good. You could expect a PS1 to overheat, but in this modern console era its not acceptablefungry-burgers

like you shouldn't expect the RRoD to happen on the 360 which is unacceptable, but it does.

The only thing that you need to consider is buying a I or P cable that works for your tv (considering your tv might not play I or P).

I've only ever had my PS3 freeze once... and that was with at a party playing Rock Band for 12 hours. The song sucked anyway.

My PS3 froze twice while playing Assassins Creed. It would only happen when I hoped across a rooftop on 2 different occasions. No other game has frozen on me.

Yea... I had mines freeze a couple of times on me, but it only seems to be an occassional thing. Its built buy man so I don't expect for it to be perfect. It froze at odd times so I really couldn't tell you under what condition it is prone to freeze, sorry.

But feel free to hit me for a game. I am into COD4, NBA2k8, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, and Oblivion. PS3 Tag: rusmis

Stay Up.

Go online and get a cable for $7 it's all you need. Mine looks auesome and I ordered it off a site. It actually cost more to ship than the cable.

tbh.. I think it's probably just bad engineered software.. than actually the ps3 overheating...

GRAW2 for ps3 has a tendency of crashing at load zone.. As far as i know Blacksite is just horrible in almost every way, so I'd imagine that's the game as well.. I doubt you should be worried if those are the issues...

Overheating problems, the console will tell you it's overheated and it will shutdown automatically, if that's the case you can almost be 100% positively sure that you have placed it in a very bad location.
