So my hard drive is filling up and I need a larger one that won't get filled too easily. I don't really know anything about what fits in the ps3 or what the steps are etc. But basicaly I wondering if anyone could suggest a particular hard drive that works that has a good amount of space and isn't crazy expensive.

Thanks in advance.

I went onto amazon and found a new 320gb HDD for $60. The PS3 should take any 5400rpm 2.5" SATA laptop hard drive.

By the way, make sure you back up the data on your current drive before you take it out. All that data will be gone for good because the drive wants to be formated when you plug it back in. Also, the instalation is super easy. Youtube it if you need help.

take your pick.

Do yourself a Big favour and buy a Western Digital Scorpio blue 320GB,or even the 500GB version.

I fitted the 320Gb version, bought it from Amazon and haven't looked back since. It runs smooth, quiet and problem free(well so far anyhows)and tons of space on it.
