I have a 40g and was wondering if i were to go and buy a 80g hard drive, would i be able to play ps2 games then? i no its kind of silly but just out of curiousity or do u have to have the 80g model?

No. You need the hardware (PS3 itself)

Its actually emulation software that is in the 80gb that enables you to play PS2 games

R u serious :shock: :lol: your funny.....Um no you need a 80/60gb ps3 model to do that :lol: buy a 80gb hd and put in 40gb ps3 to play ps2 games:D that ones hilarious

i was wondering if the 80G hard drive was compatible with use in the 40 G model? not for playing ps2 games of course but just as a new hard drive. please reply soon.
