Recently I bought a UK ps3, I have played it moderately so far but today while playing resistance fall of man for an extended period of time the graphics started to show clear signs of fault with the system. Basically what happened was, while playing online my character started turning into a spiked ball so to speak and other things like the smoke wasn't rendering, it was simply square white blocks instead. Also when I quit playing online, the menu screens (of the game) had blue dots (pixels) over most of the screen. I hoped that this was simply that particular game so I quit to the ps3 main menu and that also had pixels of an obviously unplanned colour on it. So I thought perhaps I would play a less strenuous game to see what happened, so I tried rub'a'dub (a downloadable game) and the water on that game rendered black. I then turned the console off and waited until it cooled down hoping it was simply a matter of overheating, however when I tried playing it again an hour or so later the problem came back worse than before and now I can barely play for 10 mins without it f-ing up. Has anyone seen or heard about this kind of problem, I have searched around but came up with nothing. Obviously I am going to take it back and get a new one but I am just curious as to what the problem is, how common it is and whether or not it was a simple problem, please answer back if this has happened to you or if you know anything about it.
p.s. Sorry for the long post.
