My cousin said Infamous 2 almost got him teary eyed and my brother said a few Final Fantasys got to him...I have yet to experience that so I'm wondering has a game ever made you cry? If so, what game?

Yup.
Gaming is a medium where you can actually grow attached to a character. Not like a movie where you see them for like an hour n a half and are supposed to be sad when something happens to them.:?
not really, some endings have left me in awe like the endings of Bioshock 1/2 and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I find that most game characters, no matter how well written, aren't written nearly well enough to actually leave a connection with the player. I'm not going to blame this on the fact that they're animation rather than live action since there are animated movies that have really great character development/attachment.
The only game that made cry was Final Fantasy X... Twice. First when Tidus discover (on Ryku's Desert Home) that Yuna has to die and the second one at the end.
wonderful history.f0361c
Hahaha I totally understand this. The ending of Final Fantasy X, though did not make me cry made me feel like crap. It's honestly the perfect ending for the best game ever.
As for this generation nah, even the supposedly "tragic" endings for some games just feel cheesy to me.
Crisis Core Final Fantasy made me weep a little, The World Ends With You did too.
But when I finally finished Ocarina of Time after 10 years of not being able to finish it, I bawled my eyes out with awsome.
Final Fanyasy 8 (Space scene). Cried like a baby I did.
more recently scenes in Heavy Rain were rather upsetting.
Plenty of games that have made me sad, but never to the point of crying because of it (though I've come pretty close a few times). Now tears of joy is a different ballgame;)
last time i had teary eyes was while playing heavy rain before that the darkness
i also felt really sad in la noire when
Cole phelps died
^Could you please put that in spoiler tags? I can clearly read the spoiler itself even if I stopped after seeing the "SPOILER" warning.
I'm replaying FFVIII and that's where I'm up to. I don't remember it being sad but then again I haven't played it for about 5 years.Final Fanyasy 8 (Space scene).
Trebblebase
Yes, in Silent Hill2"in water" ending. It had been building upfor a while, James carrying his dead wife and all.Andalmost inSilent Hill when Lisa Garland realises she is trapped and starts bleeding through her eyes and everywhere, falls to her knees andgets pushed away by Harry that moves out the room and closes the door. That was terrible.
inFAMOUS 2 (good ending) - Yeah, I'll admit. That ending made me do the sexy cry. Wasn't blubbering but there was definitely a tear (or two).
Metal Gear Solid 3 (it'll be on the PS3 soon enough :P) - Like most people, I'll admit this too jerked a tear from me.
I never cried from a game's story but I almost did. There was only one game that has gotten me to almost cry and that was Persona 3 when you get the true ending.
I have never actually cried but MGS3 and 4 have almost set me off, guess its just the powerful story that just sucked me in.
that never happens to anyone dude lol but there are quite a few story heavy,STORY HEAVY games that have suprisingly good voice acting and plot twists that get yah interest.mgs4,halo,final fantasy 12.stuff like that
No, I'm a real man, real men don't cry! :P Nah, I haven't actually cried during a game but I've most certainly had some emotional moments. And since we're limited to the PS3: MGS4, BioShock and Portal 2 are the only ones that really played with my heart strings.
