One of the things that always agitated me about my PSP-2000 was that the screen would have this irritating ghosting, particularly with red/brown and white colors. This was back with 3.90 through 4.05 or so. However, after updating to 5.00, it's as if it just disappeared, or was significantly reduced. The white ghosting into blue is totally gone now, and the red/brown ghosting is not quite prevalent enough to irk me this time around. I don't know what Sony did to fix it, but I'm glad. Maybe it's a side effect of whatever screen enhancements they planned for the PSP-3000 that somehow slipped into older models? Whatever the case may be, I certainly don't feel like dumping my 2000 for a 3000 now!

I haven't noticed anything myself, I think Sony would have boasted about it a bit if ghosting was reduced :)

I'd think that they'd keep quiet about it in order to try to get people bothered with it to buy the PSP-3000 and it's supposedly improved screen while hoping that they don't notice the interlacing. It came close to working on me (though I certainly wasn't going to swap PSPs until a year or so), at least until I heard all about the interlacing issues.
