Has anyone noticed that the number of people on this forum thinking about buying a ps3 or that have recently bought a ps3 has increased greatly since the Slim has come out?

lol yup i got a bunch of friends who are seriously thinkin bout getting a ps3 now. no better time i tell em
I might need to buy a new PS3 since mine Yellow lighted on me :( n00bkidWhy not just pay the $150 to send it to Sony, or find the solution to YLoD on Youtube and do that? Why would you want to spend $400 to buy a new PS3 when you could send to Sony or repair it yourself for much less?
I agree. Sony went hard these last two years. Season after season they've been adding more and more good exclusives to the PS3's library, and the new firmware updates have brought alot of new features, like trophies, home, and in-game XMB (speaking of which, isn't it time for a firmware update?). The $100 price drop helped alot too :Plol yup i got a bunch of friends who are seriously thinkin bout getting a ps3 now. no better time i tell em

I haven't been around here much lately, but I do see a lot more of those threads than I did a while back
Lol yeah.
Still gottah try and convince most of my friends though, although not many of them are gamers.
I just realized something. If more and more people are buying PS3's, will we have more and more annoying little kids on PSN?? :(dk00111
oh god, I hope not. I was playing COD4 online the other day and just about every other match I had to mess with some annoying little kid.
One kid made me so mad I told him that if I was his parent I probably would have beat him to death long before now. He retorted with some lame Your-Momma jokes.
Yes, but when the PS3 first came out, there was no way they could sell it at 300, or even 400 dollars. But I do admit, they could have done a better job having a stronger set of exclusives and a better OS/firmware.if they have done this kind of strategy from the start, they've blew the competition away...

My Grandparents(65 and 70 yrsold) are actually buying a PS3.. not for gaming but for blu-ray. I actually talked them into it, obviously, since they wanted to buy a new 1080p HD tv and wanted a blu-ray player and surround sound, i told them they would be making a mistake if they didnt buy the ps3 for blu-ray. With the price drop and my grandma being a technology lover all of a sudden ( must be retirement:P) she agreed. +1 for Sony, and me:D

Yes I have, the fact that the crapbox 360 is losing power makes me feel all fuzzy inside :P
lol...I shouldn't be laughing because I have one of those also.:P
Now that people can afford one and theres more AAA games released with more to follow it only makes sense that more people will be picking one up.I just realized something. If more and more people are buying PS3's, will we have more and more annoying little kids on PSN?? :(dk00111The difference is, hardly anyone has a headset, at least in my experience. I had a 360 for about two months last year, and the little kids screaming cusswords is a big part of why I got rid of it.

Plus, now you can be sneaking and bring your game saves / games when you go visit. ;)
More like since it dropped to $299 and lots of good exclusives came out from Sept till now forward and there's hardly any good games coming out on 360 any more.
The Slim helped too, but it's hardly the only reason.

Lol, nah man, my setup at home is better.I might need to buy a new PS3 since mine Yellow lighted on me :( n00bkidtheres a fix for it. my friend fixed his. its something to do with the thermal for the cpu i assume.
sure have :D which is why i finally bought one =Pever since the release of the slim, the price Cut, Uncharted 2, and the return of RPG's in 2010, PS3 has been on cloud nine and things will only get better once 2010 arrives

Now that I think about it, most kids probably aren't going to spend their money on a mic when they can buy a game, and parents probably aren't going to spend money so that their kids can talk with strangers. Hopefully I'm right lol.
I am one of them, I was waiting for the price drop. I love it, just need more money for games now haha.
