Is it me or has hardly anyone ordered from Play.com. They claim to have taken loads of pre-orders but their site says they can still deliver for launch and they are advertising it to the extreme and throwing in extras like an HDMI cable and Click on Blu-Ray. I have heard that they can't deliver orders for launch anymore so I'm confused.
i didnt order from Play.com cause they always dont forefill your order... like i ordered a 360 from there and i didnt get it even when they said i was guaranteed one for launch same thing happened with the Wii and many games that i have ordered from them. So now i order everything from GAME at least they are honest.
They will deliver on launch 100%. The big mistake is that they took all pre orders for the Xbox 360 and Wii and people thought they would get the console for launch but they didnt. With the PS3 they have only taken pre orders for the allocation of consoles they are getting. However, I dont think the package is very good so I've ordered from Amazon.
I've pre ordered mine from Play.com and so long as you get a confirmation e-mail saying that yours is reserved you will get yours at launch. They are as previous posters have said only taking pre orders up to their inital allocation so there is no danager of not getting one. There was if we think back all kinds of cock ups with the 360 launch and many stores including my own and not just play.com got shafted with inital shipment quanities. Now that the US and Asia have theirs and its late march i doubt their will be any shortage problems.
i have pre-ordered from play i think the package is fantastic and the price is very good it has the 2 games i wanted in the package which left me to buy more games :)
Well, I had a pre-order at GAME (still do actually, better take that back) but then I saw that 3 game play.com deal with all the free stuff on monday, ordered it, and according to their site they posted itnto me this morning, hot sh!t, they must have a putt load left
