I know this is kind of has to be on the other thread but since the ppl who already received the e-mail doesn't check that thread so I was just wondering in general... Its been almost 30 hours for me and no e-mail... i don't know if the people who don't receive it within 5 hours or 9 hours or some limit of time cap are ever suppose to get the e-mail. I tried calling playstation but the wait time is too long so i just hung up.

Anyone received the e-mail after 5 hours and how long was your wait in total?

Thx.

Ditto. I'm not sure what this issue is with the email everyone is talking about...I was able to change my password right off the bat when signing in to PSN for the first time again.

It should really be clear by now. You only get that email if you never used the store to download anything to your PS3 thereby linking your console to your account.

I've been waiting for 3 days, the Playstation Asia Twitter and their website doesn't even state when their servers will go live. Kinda stinks, the rest of the world is having fun and us the folks in Asia aren't playing online yet.

I'm not sure what e-mail people were referring to as well. i updated my ps3 and it asked me to change my password, so i did via ps3 and then I got the notification e-mail that my password was changed. so i'm a bit confused as to this e-mail people are posting?

The console the account was originally created on don't have to get an email to change their passwords. For those who don't have their original consoles because they sold/died whatever get an email sent to their email address with steps to change their password using the computer.
