wasnt the walmart thing just a rumor?
the only support they have is Universal who, once they start losing money, will convert to Blu-ray.

With blockbuster bluray exclusive in most stores and every other company with bluray, they will start to think 'Uh oh, im being left behind here'

I thought Universal went both sides now? There was a report a month or 2 ago
Still too early to tell. Still too many exclusives to both formats. Just because Blockbuster stopped carrying it in B&M stores doesn't affect their online rentals of HDDVD's or their competitors.
I chose the easy route and got both players ;)
Though, my PS3 might win it for me, because it let's me do 1080p over HDMI whereas I'd have to try and find a 360 Elite to let me have that capability for my HDDVD addon (though 720p is still pretty nice looking too).
It's too hard to tell who won the war. Hopefully it won't be like sony's last time trying to take over formats. They failed miserably... But ya, Brian Littell you're absolutley correct :)bluntissWow look at the two clueless fanboys, I hope you enjoy your Blu-Ray add on oh in about a year and a half.

to hard to tell? umm Toshiba droped their US sales goal for HD DVD 40%!! hahah. they are done and they know it.
a little two early? dont you read the signs? HD DVD had to lower thier systems to $200 just a year after their release they are making no money at all off those players.joevfxWhat's good of a player that cheap if theres barely any good movies? That's what I'm saying. I've back the format with the most support, ever since Blu Ray came out it have the most support.
