I suggest you watch the gameplay videos. You can play it however you like: shooting in 1st/3rd person, or entering commands targeting body parts. You will also have to make moral choices to help various people and factions.

And I haven't forgotten about this game, it's the next big game I'm looking forward to. I'll get it for either PS3 or PC, depending on the system requirements.

Yep you can make your own weapons. i saw them playing it on G4 and they made a weapon launcher that would shoot teddy bears as well as other items you can pick up.

I Didn't at all... just bummed that they have stated exlusive expansions and DLC on 360 and computer only... thats reeee tarded...but have to wait and see if maybe they cange that which I would think they would, otherwise their support will drop dramatically with all ps3 ownersXxAnubisxX

fallout 1 and 2 were epic, altho i never could beat either one, the games were pretty massive. and i loved the combat system as well as the humor that followed it. i just hope beth doesn't gimp it like it did oblivion. and i also hope it doesn't get an E rating...i want sick and degrading gameplay, and all the fun humor that follows....sadly im not sure if beth is up to the challenege of taking all the great things from the previous games and making it better.machiavell8x8

This will be Bethesda's next must buy game but it seems everyone is locked onto only 1-2 games for 08... Other than a possible release of one of the two FF games what else is in store for the rpg market??? tiger35010

Seriously though, whenever some movie maker, game developer, book writer makes a OMG EXPLOSION FUTURE story for their product, I'll pretty much pass on it since 95% of all those plots suck. The most apparent red flag to look for is them starting the trailer with a happy-go-lucky song, and a monologue which talks about how life is great, then transition to the epic apocalyptic future...it's so played out and cliche...I got bored of that in the 80s. Think up some new crap please developers.

Bethesda really sounds like a bastion of creativity. 4 games now with generic, boring high fantasy that rips off the concepts of every other generic, boring high fantasy (When I saw a town named SKINGRAD, I Lawled at their stupidity), and now we're on the 3rd game of apocalyptic future...like I said, something new and not played out PLZ.
