Did they ever announce or say that they were going to fix the issue where your character gets stuck moving in one position for like 3 seconds!? It happens every now and then, but very frustrating at times!!! I know it's not a blue-tooth issue because my Wii mote works fine and I have no interference what so ever, like wireless and cordless objects, and I'm using a LAN connection (standard RJ-45). I would like to know, because I'm kinda pi$$ed off that I pay this much for a system and it has a connection problem with the controllers! And yes I tried several different ones and they all do the same thing, I also reset them....no change.

The only time I have noticed this before is when messing around with my blutooth headset.. it likely is a blutooth issue.. it fixes itself anyway.

I disagree! It can't be a blue-tooth issue, if this is true then how come the Wii mote never experiences this problem? Also It's a problem for me because this BS cost me my 20 kill streak in RFOM.....19 kills and the controller went haywire!!!! I could of thrown my controller through the wall!!!:x

wow, now that you mention it, it may be fixed. It happened to me like once every two weeks before but I haven't realized that it hasn't happened in like 3 months now.

It's been happening to be less frequently with the recent updates. It's possible that it will be fixed in time, just keep your fingers crossed.

It's happened to me a few times playing online in ranked matches. It's extremely frustrating, I know. Let's hope they fix this as soon as possible. By the way. The motion sensor in the Wii is infrared. I wasn't aware that it included Blu-Tooth technology. Although, that would explane how you can play Virtual Console games and Paper Mario holding it sideways....I answered my own question. Self pwnd

wow thats funny that you mentioned this... when I first got the PS3 it was dropping controller connections left and right. It was more obvious with F1 then R:FoM, but now with all the updates I haven't noticed a single drop since.

It was linked to people who: 1. had to little charge on their controler 2. Were to far away (Bluetooth is a close range tech) 3. Or were using tech which messed with the signal like wifi for example.

WiFi interferes with a BT signal? You sure. Then why does the PS3 have both?

both utilize 2.4Ghz frequency bands. So yes, there is a *possibility* that they could interfere with each other.

it also could be the reason that Sony filed for the approval with the FCC on the "new" PS3.  One of the enhancements was for the bluetooth antennae.  It was stated that Sony had moved the antennae further away from the WiFi because of the possible interference

the Wiimote uses bluetooth technology.  that is the reason for the "sensor bar" that must be placed near the TV.

1. I've experienced this issue with the controller fully charged.

2. At most I'm 7 feet away from my entertainment center.

3. There are NO other wireless devices in my house other than the wifi in the PS3 (which I don't use).

But anyway I can't remember the last time I experienced this issue. When I first bought my PS3 back in Dec. 06 it happened often.

2.  IGN tested the PS3 controllers from like 50 feet away, and they still worked perfectly.

I have this issue from time to time while playing motorstorm, has cost me many 1st place finishes as I will be driving along and the car will just lock in the direction I am going in for 3-4 seconds, usually coming back after I crash and die...really, really annoying.

Does it have to do with bluetooth headsets?  I don't use a headset and never had this lag problem ever.

i mite be wrong?? but doesnt the Wii has infrared?? and doesnt the sensor bar has to be close to the TV so ud get better response........and i havent honestly got any issues with my controller, the farthest i been with the controller is probably 10 feet, give or take one or to feets, and nothin, but bluetooth IMO is the best and it will fix it self if it ran threw a problem, and if it is that BIG of problem for some of ya, then sony will eventually have a firmupdate and fix it.

it uses Lights to tell where the controllor goes you can make your own sensor bar with infered led lights and a bar and some AA batterysÂ
