Has the PS3 been modded or hacked?

My dumbass friend who's wrong and talks out of his ass about lots of things swears that in colombia, they had modded ps3s.

now my dealer is telling me that he also has a modded ps3.

are these 2 just that stupid or what?

On the topic of modding, I wouldn't get into that stuff. You really could mess up your PS3, especially with a system update.

so it really is possible eh? i heard that people can play burned ps3 games on blu ray-r's. but its almost not worth it because of the size of most ps3 games, and the cost of a blu ray player and blu ray discsDangerHiVoltage

My "friend" have a mođded xbox (orginal). Itdidnt take long toburn the games but My cousin has a mođđed 360 and he says it takes forever to burn them

i did some reaserch on this recently. pretty much the modders were using some form LINUX (which any newer user cant anymore) to dump games onto their HDD, and were patiently waiting for a image loader to be used through some minor hardware hack. from what i remember, you still cant actually play the images yet, but poor people with no lifes still sit there waiting to play their imaged colection of games......but sony will probably firmware lock out all the loop holes by then anyway.

I used to have a dealer in Columbia and am still twitching from the stuff he hooked me up with!!!
