Haha, nice. :P As for Burnout, I thought it was SUPER frustrating but then again I kept going back to it, putting it about 60 - 70 hours. Once you learn the city, it becomes way more fun and since they added restart (it didn't have it when I played it) some frustration should be gone. The only thing I really hate about it is the stupid AI for the traffic. Sometimes they swerve into you and they just don't get out of the way. Other than that, it's a great game.

i never say everyone hates this game, all im saying is that it sux (for me).....like their nothing good about it, that's it.like the map is really hard to no where to go, there isn't a gps system like gta4, which makes it so much harder to know where/ how you're supose to get there, and how some races can't use a certain car made it even more worst, im just trying to see if anyone agrees with me and who can point out the "fun" part of the game so i can play it more often...

I loved it, just give it time. It offers alot more than Motorstorm or GT but it takes practice.

I thought it to be frustrating at first but gave it another try and came to love it, mostly. Sometimes when crashing at the end of a race and have to go back all the way to the start just made me smash the controller to the floor, or almost anyway. If there is restart now I have to go back to play it some more. Big Surf Island looks pretty fun as well.

I agree with the TC. I never really liked racing games (GT4 is left in dustbin), but after hearing such praise about BP, I decided to get it just cause it was $20. Don't like it that much, it feels like a chore trying to get to the next license. I should just forget racing games

You expected to magically know exactly where to go the second you started up the game? The game is supposed to hold your hand and tell you exactly where to turn even though the entire point of the game is it's an open city where you take any route you can find to reach the goal? Maybe you should have thought this purchase through. My advice, concentrate on road Rage and marked Man events until you learn the layout of the city. This will also helo you earn more cars. For me stunt runs where the hardest to get the hang of cause I kept wrecking. Also spend time online, people are really helpfull and tend to congregate near the highliughts of the city. Keep playing best racing game I own. Even Better than Midnight Club LA

I really liked BP but if they would have added a quick restart so you can retry a race without driving all the way back I would have liked it even more.

It has that now.

The game was a bit weird at first, but once you get used to the map and how the navigation system works, the problems all but disappear. The game also has such depth, that it can be like a different game, especially with the free dlc packs.

If you haven't learned the city I recommend to try to, the game is much more fun once you have a general idea of where you're going.

From what you say, it seems like you haven't actually played the game. 1. The game does tell you where to go. Keep one eye on the road signs at the top of the screen. When you get close to the road you need to turn on, the sign pulses and the game makes a beeping sound. 2. With the exception of Burning Routes, which are just single car specific time-trials, you can use any kind of car on any race. You would get absolutely destroyed if you used a fragile speed-type car on a Road Rage, but you could use it.

ummm if TC is still here I advise you simply pay closer attention to your screen. The game will hold your hand if you know what to look for. It will guide you through the route the ai will take. The blinkers on you car will flash when you have a turn coming up as well as the street sign flashing on the left or right side of the sign in the top-middle of the screen depending on which way you need to turn.

I would also spend some time just hunting down billboards, super jumps and gates. Just to get a feel for the city.

Another tip is to do as many blue then yellow races as possable before moving on to other types. The more races you do in the green and red, the higher the requirements get for a finish.

And as for the restart option, You have to still be in the race you want to restart. then simply open the easydrive menu(right on the d-pad) then hit restart race. If you finish the race before doing this it wont work and you will be forced to drive all the way back.

I have 90% of the map memorized, mostly due to finishing all 500 of the online challenges. if you can find a good group of patient people, I would advise doing challenges as they bring you to some pretty obscure places in the map. This helped me to remember key points.

When you are going so fast, it gets really hard to turn unexpectedly. Also, sometimes the turn signals don't go on until literally a split second or you get confusing signals on the map. Knowing Paradise City is key to Burnout fun.

Nope lol, that was actually added some months ago, some people just didn't realize it was there because you had to find it in the d-pad menu.

Actually I always felt that they came on too early. I would turn into walls and stuff before the turn ever came around. For the most part you're given ample warning of the turn coming up. There were a couple of turns that did as you say and literally started flashing when you need to turn, especially if you go off course. But that's why you don't try shortcuts before you know them.

The one last thing I want to add to this thread, I think I remember counting this one time. The race with the MOST turn in it only has 3 turns. 90% only have 1 key turn. I could be remembering wrong though.

Eh its not too bad. All i need are the road rules too. The time road rules are really simple, and i've achieved probably 90% of the ones i have just from driving around not even paying attention to them. The only thing that will actually take work are the showtime road rules. :?

I like all the Burnout games I find this one quite addictive,at times but I just hate it when the traffic seems to get in your way all the time on purpose which most times loses you the race I still play it every now and personally I find Burnout Paradise more fun than MotorStorm. I just like Burnout as it feels different to other racing games plus I like showtime mode in Paradise thats a lot of fun. I wish you could add custom music to the game I like the music but hearing the same music over and over gets boring.

If you developed your skills more you would find that the game is quite easy. I've taken wrong turns all the time, crashed alot, and still managed to pull off wins.

I didn't like the open world design for it. It was so much better in Burnout Revenge on the PS2 where there is a set route to follow. There weren't the great crash events like on previous Burnouts either. It was a big disappoint to me.

It's right on the d-pad. ;) When you are racing, press right and it will say Restart Race. When you lose an event, press right and it will say Restart Last Event. Loads in like 5 seconds.

ummm if TC is still here I advise you simply pay closer attention to your screen. The game will hold your hand if you know what to look for. It will guide you through the route the ai will take. The blinkers on you car will flash when you have a turn coming up as well as the street sign flashing on the left or right side of the sign in the top-middle of the screen depending on which way you need to turn.

When you are going so fast, it gets really hard to turn unexpectedly. Also, sometimes the turn signals don't go on until literally a split second or you get confusing signals on the map. Knowing Paradise City is key to Burnout fun.

"Knowing Paradise City is key to Burnout fun" haha you just sounded like DJ atomica :P

Oh god... that's the insult of the century. I HATE DJ Atomica... I can't stand him. The way he mocks you by not mocking you when you lose is easily one of most frustrating things in gaming.
