Have hackers ruined MW2?

Well this is difficult for me to write. For months I have been saying how COD is no good, but yesterday I played over a friends house for a few hours and became hooked. However, I was reading around the internet that hackers have become a problem with the game. Does this truely ruin the online experience or is it still worth getting? I don't care about the sp in this game that much, so I'm basically looking at getting it just for the online components.

I played a few matches the other day and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Hackers have been on COD since COD4 and it's been the same copy/paste job since. It's the same game using a mod.

I know they're all over COD4, other say WaW is just as bad, i haven't seen or heard too much about it with MW2Dan_Lero

well ok then, I guess I may have been in some hacked games then since I played quite a bit of WAW online. The worst I've read is COD4, which sucks since everyone says it's the best.

i just got back into MW2 this past week and haven't seen any hackers...actually maybe 1 lobby was s**t

but 1 in 50 matches or so isn't too high a %

I play MW2 almost every day. The majority of the hacking problems have been fixed with a patch. But there is an 11th prestige hack going around. As soon as I see it I leave. It's not that prevelent though. I've only seen it once in the past week.

I've been playing a lot the last few weeks and have only been in 1 hacked lobby.. Which didn't do anything.. It was just a normal game with some dude advertising his website on the top portion of the screen.MethodManFTW

imo, around 1 over 20 matches, you might counter a hack host. You can notice it easily cuz you would see long and repetitive texts on your screen.

I played a few rounds and I started noticing a lot of noobtubing around the map, I just thought it was normal as the community loves noobtubes, but then I noticed that I had infinite ammo, you could just spray around with any weapon and you didn't need to reload.

Other than that, I didn't catch anything except in COD4.
