Not one bit. I don't even look at the list of trophies. When I see I get one I'm like "cool". That's about it. I don't go through and keep playing a game at a certain point to get one or anything.

First playthrough no. I always play the game for the game the first time, and then I play it again or even multiple more times to get trophies. :)

I LOVE it :)

Nah, always been kind of a completist.... but it's nice now that you can have your trophies on display all the time on forums with portable ID, I mean, how cool is that? You could go bragging about the games you've beaten, but now you have PROOF!!! :D Does anybody remember the movie "The Wizard"? "You scored 50000 points on Double Dragon!??!" ( Too bad I can't show off my PSN profile yet, you're missing the chance to se my whopping 3 BRONZE trophies i got in Fallout 3! What an ace! XD )

In terms of replay value, yes. I never collected things 100% because I saw no point, but with trophies I do stuff to get plats and collect things to get plats. As for playing the game, I play to beat it and for fun, and once I've done that I trophy hunt, so it didn't change that respect to how I play games.

Yes, they have for me, I always try to get the trophies and I complete loads of frustrating crap that I otherwise would never have done to get a trophy, and please don't say "Trophies are pointless" they are, I know, but playing video games is also extremely pointless and I really think collecting trophies is a lot of fun.

for sure, having trophies has added a replay value to the games that i buy. Especially the games that are single player only, where playing the game multiple times usually isnt that rewarding (to me) but having trophies makes it worth while in some respect

No, not on the first run through of games, or games that I don't enjoy. But I will say that I tend to revisit games I enjoy more often, knowing that there is some fun goals to work towards. On replays I strive to get trophies not for the trophy itself, but the challenge or entertainment that acquiring it can provide.

Yeah, definitely. I enjoy earning them. They give me good incentive to keep playing a game. Plus, I really like the sound it makes when you earn a trophy. :P

Just like what the 360 did for me,I enjoy getting trophies/achievement's because it give me some replay value ( or excuse w/e you want to call it :P ) to replay the game over for a little reward and adds more hours to your game.

Edit- Sorry forgot to say only for games that I love like Bioshock,Fallout 3 ect ect... Im not just going to plat a game I hate or play games only for trophies like Terminator Salvation :P

I don't care about trophies my first time through a game. They do add a ton of replay value though after that for me. I like the sound, I like working towards a goal, and I'm kind of a completionist. There are a few trophies I don't think I'll ever go after though. Most of the online ones in Wipeout for instance. I don't care about them for bragging purposes or anything though.

Nope. Don't care about trophies. I just play games to enjoy them. I'm actually getting a bit annoyed with trophies - hearing that stupid "ding" when you're in the middle of a battle or something is distracting. And once you've got a bunch of trophies, who really gives a damn if you get some more? "Oh, I've got 2.37% more trophies than I did two weeks ago, I am filled with joy!" Meh.

For certain games yes, although my first playthrough is always for the fun of the game without looking at trophies. I find trophies are great because they give replay value to many games. For infamous, i was definitively going to play both good and bad, once i was done i dint really feel like playing anymore but i wanted to platinum it so i spent too much time, imo, getting it. For other games like uncharted its just pure fun replaying it over and over and then getting rewarded with trophies as you go.

Basically if i love the game i will play it over and over and make it a point to platinum it. If i dont see the point, i wont. To me platinum(ing) the game means i completed it 100%, it means i really did everything i couldve done.

I must admit that I didn't think I would find myself trying to earn trophies but here I am trying to get the platinum for infamous and it's making me want to cry. Hard is just far too hard for me lol. On a side note, I think trophies add a huge replay valuable to it but I still prefer it when the games just hand them out lol. Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is a good example of what NOT to do for trophies and so is Burnout Paradise. No idea why they make you buy a camera just for Burnout Paradise platinum.

Sort of.

On my first time through its the usual look around to a certain extent and then the 2nd or 3rd time through are when i actually aim for trophies but i normally get quite a few just from playing the way i do in my first time through.

Uncharted 1 i played through so differently in crushing mode than i did in normal.

It is a waste of money if you think about it, you could use that money for new shoes, new haircut, on a date, car insurance, and alot of other things that I just cant come up with atm lol :P

I did at first but it doesn't change the way I play now. If I beat a game and go back to play through it again I'll have trophies in mind but never on my first playthrough. It just ruins the game. I like taking my time with games and not going after trophies or trying to rush through the game just to brag how much I beat someone else's time.

For Me it definetly did, Normally I would play a game once through and never play it again (unless it had multiplayer) and then once trophys came out I went back and replayed my games 2, 3, even 4 times again because it adds a sense of replayability and gives you something to have long term, even after you sell the game, trash it, trade it in, whatever.
