HAVE you EVER PLAYED FF7?

I was wondering how many of your guys played this classic game in the past. Today will the first time for many younger and some older gamers. Would love to hear your thoughts on this game.

It is in my top 3 all-time, with Metal Gear Solid 4, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

I liked FF3 for the snes better. I thought it had a much darker story, and the characters triggered a larger sense of empathy from me.

FF7 is my favorite JRPG of all time. I bought it when it was first released way back when on the original PlayStation, and beat it a few weeks later. Many of my fondest memories as a gamer have come from this classic game.

Even though I already have a mint condition black label copy of FF7, I'll be buying it off of the PSN later today. That way I can play it whenever and wherever on my PSP, rather than relying on remote play.

Got it an played it right around when it originally came out. I feel most of the people who don't like it or think it is really overrated are not these people. It was just so epic when it came out. I think while its impossible to do so now, one must really isoltate yourself from the years of hype and oversaturation to still enjoy it. I dont think its aged nearly as badly as critics say, it really is a question of oversaturation

I actually bought it for the first time last year and beat it a few weeks after I bought it. The game was amazing and a lot of fun! The graphics are kind of harsh, but if you're a true gamer it's not about the graphics it's about the gameplay. I feel like it brought RPGs out of the niche it was in, and is actually one of the more likeable/enjoyable RPGs even if you don't like the genre.

I have. Its agreat RPG, but its not the second coming everyone makes it out to be.

the only one i played was 10 i think thats it, i never was interested or cared about it, i love rpgs and jrpgs but i dont know never got in to the FF ones though. im going to download ff7, even though the graphics are ps1 graphics ill just see wat the fuss is all about

I still have my copy and play it from time to time. When does it come out on psn? It's 9pm. Still not there.

A little to many times..

For me personally, it's still the best JRPG I experienced. I have one of the most memorable and passionate memories of gaming associated with the title.

FF7 is my all time favorite rpg. It set the standard for all future rpgs that came after it. Truly a classic.;)

Yes, I put many many hours into that game. Got all my characters to lvl 99 and was at the very end, but never finished it. I am glad they are finally releaseing it on PSN so I can finish what I started about 12 years ago.

Yep. I played it on the original Playstation. Well, my brother owned the game and the PS, so I got to check it out when he was done with it. I remember loving it at the time. That was a couple years before I got completely tired of JRPGs. I also remember liking VIII quite a bit. I'll have to consider downloading it to see how well it holds up.

I bought this game origanlly when it was first released state side ( I was 13 at the time) and after I got through the first boss battle i knew i was in for something that was gonna be very special. After completing the game I couldn't get enough of it and played it over and over again. i played that game so much that the disc laser was scratching up my disc's. Sadly though i had sold it along with the rest of my Ps game collection a few years back and have regretted that ever since.

...How I have waited for the day i would get to play it again and that day is today and everyday from now on.
