I sent mines cause each time i insert a game into the console after the PS3 logo i receive a no signal message and very frequently the touch panel didn't work. I now find only that the no signal message is normal on some tvs but i guess they sent me another cause of the touch panel. What about you?
i sent mine back because it shut off by itself right after i turned it on and gave me the yellow light from hell and it wont turn back onBostonDieNasty

My coffin is on it's way here from sony I don't know what happened I just turned it on a couple of days ago and no sound or video tried to do the whole hold the power button to reset settings tried different cables and nothing and I take really good care of my system
i still gotta wait 4 weeks for mine - broken disc drive. I made sure i took care of mine as well, so I was really upset when it happened. Anyone know if the ps3 has 'feelings'? It's just that i suspect it might have been jelous when i bought a 360 recently. Still, the ps3 is my favourite child.
I Idon't know why some people here get angry each time someone tell they have problems with their PS3. This is normal with all electronic devices, Whats not normal is the 360 red ring of dead.

You got to be very unlucky to have problems with your PS3 since only 2% of them have problems.Electronic devices have an average of 5% so I'd say that the PS3 is pretty reliable.
I went to target after work one night and bought my PS3. later I attempted to hook it up and it would turn on then beep 5 times and shut off. I got mad all night trying to set it up to play MGS4 it never stopped beeping and flashing red lights. I called Sony in the morning and they told me that the blinking red light ment my system was overheating and having a hardware shutdown on a system i never even got to play one game on. I immediatly took it to target and exchanged it, when i told the lady what happened she said "wow we've had alot of those coming back lately."
left mine plugged in and lightning must have hit my house because when i came back my modem was fried and my ps3 doesn't read any Ethernet cables. Therefore, i cant go on the Internet.
