Havent seen a firmware update in a while...

I know Sony said there would be nothing for January, but its felt quite weird going this long without having to update. Dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing, but whatever :P

Anyone reckon we'll see anything substantial this month? What with GDC and all.

I wish Sony could publicly announce what their future updates entailed...

I have no trouble with not having a update for a while. But then there was some different games released for PSN, there were even some PSP games that are downloadable from PSN now (just another cross feature between the PS3 and PSP). There was an update a few days ago on the PSP that may be the start of some really nice things to come in the world of Sony.

They usually seem to release new PS3 updates not long after updating the PSP.

Sony said on their blog that they'd be focusing on quality of updates rather than quantity. We'll probably see an update in Feburary though.

Hopefully they will release an update that will make my Twisted Metal Black game be able to actually play 4 player death match again. It's crazy that it has no problem recognizing the first 2 controllers but acts like the other 2 don't exist.msharki

probably because that game used a multitap on PS2.

did you try changing the controllers to 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and 1-4, like the multitap would have done?

We did notice the designation options and tried a few with no good result, but I don't think we tried it that way. We really didn't understand it. Thanks for the tip.

Just to go off topic a little, why does Sony always put games that are nowhere near release on the game of the month list. I looked yesterday and it had GTAIV on there, in December it was showing Pain and in I think it was Novemeber it showed Home.

WTF... Come on Sony get your act together.

I thought they said there would be a open beta available in November so it might come soon.
