Having difficulty with God of War 3

(May contain spoilers!)

Yesterday the post delivered my copy of God of War 3.

After playing it for a while (playing on normal mode), I had to defeat Hades, Which is where I am stuck now...

My first issue was that I didn't dodge enough. After finding out that it helps alot... I came across another problem...

My sword isn't loaded (I wanted to see what combo's it could make on some enemies) which is... well, pretty stupid. And I just keep dying.

So the question is..What combo's/manoeuvres can I use best to survive and defeat the big ugly godlike creature :P

And maybe some tips?

When you fight him and you get him where you stab at his chest repeatedly and cut out a part that goes a ways from him and all the arms come out of the ground. Kill those arms over and over and keep ripping off his chest until your flame meter gets full. Then press L3 and R3 at the same time to charge you sword, but don't do it right before he grabs your soul with his chains and tries to rip it out or you'll lose it. Then whack at him with your sword as fast as you can. You'll then get his chains weapon and have to fight him while he's really big. But if you think this is hard there's harder enemies ahead in the form of blade reapers that are really hard to kill and the stay in the ground a lot hitting you while you can't hit them. You just have to play the game and figur out how to kill enemies through trial and error.

**Some Sort of Spoiler**

in the beginning, he does a two part slash.... just dodge and just swipe at his legs.

after you take that big chunk out of his body, he proceed with 3 part slashes and 4 part devastating slashes he'll fling souls at you, which is easy to dodge just time it and use the arrows.

after the second chunk, he keeps going with the 3 part and he'll fling chimeras at you id recommend stay back and use the arrows.

The arrows are your best friend (on hard :P)

My mistake was that everytime I needed to cut off a chunk.. I kind of killed the chunk and not being focussed on the arms.

I'm still being bussy with it and I'm at the second chunk now, but the arrows were a great idea too! :D

I've got the claws now, but how do I evade the attacks now... He's a giant standing in the gap... He's hitting pretty hard and I can't always swing to his back.

I've defeated him! I'm very satisfied now :D

Well, I made it till Zeus.. but I'm stuck there now haha

Any tips on him? because I've tried it for like 20 times with the gauntlets, but I just can't get further then the first "minigame".

This took me a while to get past too. you just have to learn his moves and patterns. I used the cestus too because it does the most damage. When he jumps up to shoot the lightning at you I used L1 + O to to pull him back down. When he tries to puch you then I tried to use the counter by timing L1. If I mess up the counter, then there is a slight pause before he does the final punch, which gives you time to dodge it. Its difficult to predict his ground lightning attack, so I usually try to jump over him whenever he transports so he is facing away from me when he does it. These tactics worked for me. Hope this helps

Dodging helps a TON. The combat was more enjoyable in this game, but I also found it to be the easiest on the default setting. In fact I think each God of War game got progressively easier. God of War 1 there were many more areas where I died repeatedly before seeking help in youtube. Even on the default (medium) setting God of War I was a challenge and on my first playthrough I was asked if I wanted to switch to "easy" mode several times where I got stuck. In God of War III I don't think I got asked to switch to easy mode even once.2Chalupas

pisses me off when the game asks me if I want to switch the combat to easy mode.

Its like..HELLO...I CHOSE TO PLAY ON TITAN FOR A REASON. When you are getting your *** kicked it's just like them rubbing salt into your wounds :P

Now I'm at the part where I'm fighting at the heart of Gaia.

Zeus is summoning and I know I can heal myself from Gaia's heart... But Zeus does that also... Do I have to prevent him from healing or something? And how do I do that?

Nevermind, I've just beat him! :P
