Not really into racing games...kinda got burned out playing to much Gran Turismo lol, Haze looks pretty sweet though with all the throwing knifes and all :roll:

Can someone please explain why people pre-order games? Especially pre-order and pay up front, I have no idea why people do this with most games. If it was going to be a high demmand release (Say Halo 3 or GTA IV) I can totally understand as it's likley that the game will be out of stock in a lot of places, but with games that really don't have a high enough demmand to justify pre-ordering (such as Haze and Burnout, burnout especially as it isn't an exclusive) these games.
Just wait until it comes out, maybe wait 'till you hear what other people have to say about the game before forking all your money over. I used to pre-order games that got me really excited and looked really good, but looking back I had absolutley no reason for doing so, the only game I have pre-ordered that was worthwhile was GTA:San Andreas as I managed to get it through the post on the day of release, and I've not pre-ordered since!
Haze was totally off the map for me, I forgot that game existed with all the holiday madness. Hopefully it wont be hyped more cause its what kills the games, Burnout too (but there's a demo for that one so people can make their choice without a review) but I am interested in what Haze will bring to the table, as for a racing game I have sworn that the next one will be GT5 for me.

You'd be suprised, around where I am, Dynasty Warriors 5 and Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition were sold out day one, plus I never let someone else influence what I buy.
i agree with flame... enter the matrix, i had a reserve and i got a call that day 40 mins after they got there shipment asking if they could sell my copy and reserve 1 for the next shipment, jaws unleased and the new dragonball game.. got the last copies in the store on there release. gives me plenty of reason to reserve even the least hyped game imho
Bunrout...maybe, probably rather save money though rather than spend on Burnout. Never know, I might get some games for Christmas to keep me interested through January. Fingers crossed. Even if I don't I honestly believe CoD4 can keep me interested until MGS4 and GTA4. It's that good.
shooter games are boring and too violent, so i am going to say burnout. the series has yet to disapoint me, and fps'ers are getting too cut and paste. haze=fps with a gun that makes bad guys shoot each other... right....
go with burn out, if you want a shooter get ut3 or cod4. played ut3 and it was fun and i have heard nothing but good things for cod4. but to be safe lets just wait for a demo.
I've never been that much of a racing fan but I've always has a soft spot for the Burnout series. Haze however looks awesome to me so I'll be picking that up as soon as it comes out. Haze for me then.
i will be picking up haze (when ever its coming out...seriously theres like 0 hype for some of these ps3 games to the point i have no idea when they are coming out...like unreal 3 was under the radar).

It's Haze for me too but where did you get that end of march release? Unless you're Australian, the release date is (as of now) set to mid-january for both US and UK.
I'll go with Haze for three reasons, first) Burnout it's not my type of racing, second)is published by EA("proud" EA free for 3+ years) and third)Haze looks real good.

Well sure if you like racing u should go Burnout. But keep in mind Haze will also have vehicles that have turrets on the bak of them AND you can run over people. :P
