People either love them or hate them. My question is, which ones are worth the time and money. Off the top of my head. Devil may cry,metal gear, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank and I believe hitman is getting one soon. Are any of these worth getting? Mgs I know is pretty much a must play for ps fans but what about the other ones? Hitman is probably the one I'm most curious about so if anyone has played the older ones let me know how they are. I can safely recommend my two favorite: God of War Collection (all of them) and Ico&Shadow of Colossus HD. Like you said, of course Metal Gear Solid HD is a must for the fans. I'm sure ther are other good quality HD remakes.
I'd recommend every single one of them, they're all great!
In terms of must-buys, I'd say the upcoming Hitman Collection, MGS Collection, and Sly Collection (if you can find it, it's that rare or at least for me it is)

Definitely the Sony ones are worth it.
The other ones are sort of hit or miss. Konami has MGS which is supposed to be great, but then Silent Hill and Zone of the Enders were supposed to have all sorts of problems (i.e. sound glitches or choppy framerates...in some cases they actually made the framerates WORSE when they should be flawless on PS3). Similarly Ubisoft screwed up on the Splinter Cell collection and there are sound glitches on Prince of Persia collection. But I found their Tomb Raider collection to be great (no idea if there were any complaints about that one, but I was pleased with it. Capcom has Devil May Cry collection which is great, but with Resident Evil I've seen people question whether it's even HD or not.
I'm excited to see the hitman one, for now you got the Splinter Cell Seriers, the God of War Collection, and I'm going to check out now the Jak & Daxter one
I currently have the Jak & Daxter Trilogy, Sly Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the Splinter Cell Trilogy. The only one I wouldn't recommend is the Splinter Cell Trilogy, the games haven't aged well at all, especially the first one, and just feel horrible to play.
Stay away from the Silent Hill, Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia collections.Kravyn81
Totally agree, there are SO many trophy glitches in the POP collection! Jak & Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, The Sly trilogy and Splinter Cell are pretty good though :D
