hdd without a cage still works

i take out the old 60hdd abd put in a new 160hdd without the cage and it still works fine i couldn't get the screws out the cage so i tried it without the cage yeaaaaaaaaa baby

what brand of hard drive did u use and how much did u spend, and is there a way to clone the hard drive thats already in it so i wont lose any information

Any 2.5" SATA, prefered 5400rpm will work. There's a Backup Utility selectable from the XMB.

I had a problem with those damn screws when I upgraded my 20GB to a 120GB. I stripped the hell out of em and even with pliers I couldn't remove the screws, so I twisted the metal until I could break off the 20GB HDD, then somehow I managed to reshape the cage with pliers, popped in the 120GB, and voila!!
