HDMI and Sharp Aqous Tv (1080p)

So I have a Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD, and I have my PS3, I just bought HDMI cables for it, and I hook the PS3 into the tv, and it works, and than I plug in the HDMI cord and go to that settings thing, but it doesnt recognize it and the screen stays black... What shall I do

My Sharp Aquos did the same thing for a while. I just left it running and the PS3 eventually recognized the 1080p signal. But if it stays like that, I dont know what to tell ya. sry

Well I got that Input 4 and 5 (which are the HDMI ones) and the 1,2,3. Input 3 has the Yellow video cable in it. What else do i need to do?

take out the video cables. You dont use them AND the hdm.

Then hold down the power button and the ps3 will reset itself and recognize the hdmi.

I have a 42" Sharp Aquas 1080p 42D and also you need to make sure your on the right imput.

take out the video cables. You dont use them AND the hdmi.

Then hold down the power button and the ps3 will reset itself and recognize the hdmi.

Does 1.3 work too?

Yes, hdmi carries audio and video.

Okay so, No PS3 cords just the HDMI? Do I still use the red and white ones for sound?

I have the same TV, 46". You only need the HMDi cable and nothing else. Then go to the HDMi inputs and it should pick up.

umm yeah man only the HDMI you cant possibly watch two signals in diferent inputs

Oh its just I thought the HDMI "Upgraded" the picture; I didnt know it was a whole different thing.
