HDMI cable works for audio and video combined DersertEagle147.
make sure to like buy it online, which is a LOT cheaper, such as Newegg.com.
Retail sales for these are horrible.

it supports muti channel audio. 480i through 1080p/i.

The HDMI supports video all the way up to the highest resolution possible 1080p and audio all the way up to true 7.1 surround sound (no other connection really supports this at the same quality).

If your using a 1080 tvreceivermonitor...you want to use a HDMI cable. It is a all -in -one connection.

I buy all cables, connectors and speaker wire on-line. A 6 foot HDMI cable cost somewhere in the 2 dollar range, 3 foot is in the dollar range. Now if it makes you feel any better you can spend up to somewhere in the high 40 dollar range. No difference though............

The only place I go to is monoprice. the drawback..........3 to 5 days delivery, unless you want a faster delivery.
