So today when my dad picked my up from school he had a little surprise for me; He bought me some new HDMI cables to go with my HDTV I got for Christmas. So anyway I need someone to please help me set it up. I plugged them up to my TV and PS3, then went to display settings on the XMB. I got stuck there. I wasn't sure what to do, because everytime I selected the outputs I could get from my TV the screen went blank (Like it said it would if the settings were incorrect) So I was really hoping someone could help me out. My TV is 720p HD. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Change the channel to HDMI, if you are in a video channel. That should help?

Did you reset the Ps3 video function ( Hold the power button on until you hear the second beep, i can't remember if you hold the power button until the second beep when you turn it on or off but either way try that)

You need to keep bothPS3 RCA and HDMI plugs in your TV and put it on what ever video source it's on (not HDMI). Turn on your PS3 and it should ask you if you want to switch to HDMI, then select yes. If not, go into the settings and under that go into the video settings to change the output to HDMI.

When it switches to HDMI, your TV will go to a blank screen. That means it switched from regular video to HDMI. Switch your video source on your TV to HDMI and it should change.
