HDMI not workin plz help!!! URGENT

i jus got a sony bravia 40inch 1080p and i got a new hdmi cable but my ps3 wont go into hdmi mode i keeps stayin on 576i. i have tried everything does any have the same problem orknows how to help plz?!

If you tried setting everything up in the video settings area then I can't think of anything more you could do.

go to settigns and select HDMI as the video and audio output

settings >>display settings >> video output settings >> choose HDMI

yea i done that but when i go to the hdmi mode it gives me a option of "change" and i press x and my tv goes blank and it stays like dat for about 30 secs and den it goes bck and it stays in 576i mode it wont change!

on wat option chould i click on 2 wen i go 2 video settings?
