Headset, can someone help me?

First of all, my english skills aren't very good cuz I'm not a native speaker, sorry =p

I want to buy a headset for my ps3/PC and I'm looking for a USB (this model: http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/mim.php/prodid/3573/vid/0/angleid/7/resid/2/im/3573_07_Microsoft_LifeChat_LX-3000.jpg) but some people told me that I will only hear the voices with the headset and I want o hear the sound of the game + voices with the headset, is it true what people told me?Is there any way of configure that on the PS3?

um i dont think u only hear voices i believe u hear everything did u try it out?

might as well buy a bluetooth i brought a bluetooth for cod4 and i heard voices plus the game itself
