Headset Recommendations?

I was thinking of getting a headset. Can anyone recommend one? I know there's the official PS3 headset, but I'd like to know if there are better ones out there. Also, does anyone have a headset that they use like earphones? I.e., use the headset to hear the sound of their games so they can mute the TV and not bother anyone around them. Any advice is helpful. I am not to sure about headsets where you can hear the game.Another good headset for talking to people is the Logitech USB headset.

The official Sony one is the best but a good cheap alternative is the Metal Gear Solid headset. It's 20-30 bucks.
