I did see that... I'm hoping it was just for demo purposes and that the final AI will be livlier... And as for Andy Serkis, I thought he just provided voice/face work for the King, and then did some motion cap work for other characters. I don't think he did face-motion cap for Nariko, but I could be wrong.

Which gameplay video were you looking at? The onstage demonstration gameplay is filled with the enemies charging in and attacking Nariko mid combo on other enemies and there was even one instance where an enemy she attacked counter attacked her.
Getting back to the subject, No. He isn't. I think he's only doing the motion capture for the King and that's it. The rest are other actors.

Well that isn't the onstage demonstration gameplay footage. It's probably footage from the demo open to the public, which I suspect was purposely toned down AI wise for the simple reason that if they left it the way it was during the onstage demonstration, people who didn't have a background in this genre wouldn't have been able to hold their own probably or have fun.

 hey mate dont worry bout it, its heavenly sword gonna be a mad ass game no matter what, well hopefully. Gonna be fun slashing through "thousands of enemies" in the desert levels.
Yeah, I hope that was just for presentation purpose, after all they did talk about how the cell groups far off enemies for group A.I. and close enemies to individual A.I., so you'd think there is A.I. in this game. Well, killing lots of dudes is easier when they just stand there anyways
