Folklore reminds me of pokemon...not necessarily a bad thing since pokemon was one of my favorite games EVER for gameboy. Actually...change that, was my favorite gameboy game ever.

The demo drew me away because it was so repetative, but people who own the game the demo really doesn't do it justice, it has great gameplay, and maybe the best graphics out, you might like folklore, i was extra dissapointed with that demo, so I say HS
I bought Heavenly Sword, and I'm loving it, but after playing the Folklore demo, I wasn't too interested. Just not my kind of game. Try the demos first. The HS demo is really short though. It gets much better than what's playable in that short time.
Heavenly Sword is a must play bc it is fun, full of action, and great storytelling, but ends sooner than you want it leaving you disapointed looking for more, which can be a good thing. I just bought folklore and while it is repetitive, the atmosphere of the game just sucks you in if you can appreciate a game that does things differently and unravels its mysteries slowly. I love the combat and the imagination of Folklore while the storyline has me throughly intrigued but it does feel hampered by slow pacing outside of the Netherrealm and repetition of linear levels. Folklore is longer and probably more original, but requires a certain amount of taste and patience, whereas Heavenly Sword is short lived fast-paced instant gratification. You have a blast playing Heavenly Sword and then kinda of forget about it, but you appreciate Folklore's artistry over time.
Heavenly Sword, best cinematic game ever and the power super combo kills are amazing to watch. great voice play acting by Andy Serkis and amazing cut scenes that are quite funny.Â
I have them both and while I absolutely LOVE HS, I think you'll get more for your money in Folklore. It all depends on if you like Action/Adventure or RPG games although it's more the former than the latter.
the only downside to heavenly sword is that it takes about 7 hours or so to complete, but that's the ONLY downside. it's def one of the best games I've ever played. Highly recommend it.
