Heavy Rain load help plss

i select continue but the screen goes black and the controller becomes unresponsive making me turn off the ps3. what should i do? will loading a chapter keep all my previous plot choices?

im on the ps3 slim so i dont think its that error thats going around

Sounds like the disc is scratched to me. Check the bottom of the disc for any scratches and that very well could be your problem. My brother had that problem with Modern Warfare 2 when trying to load multiplayer. The game would start fine and he would try to load multiplayer and it would take ages to start and or not start at all.gaminginsider

Are you signed on to the Playstation network when you play Heavy Rain? Try signing out if you are signed in or signing in if you are signed out. How long have you waited at the blank screen after you hit "continue?"

It has nothing to do with HR or PSN or Slim PS3s... Yes it's a coincidence...

The 8001050F error wont even let you get to the main menu in HR.
Its a different issue.

Ive had a few problems with HR, like my walk button not working at random times, and main character freeze while everything else continues.
Chapter load worked in most cases, but a system reboot fixed most. Try that?

Did you switch off the console while is was saving? Power cut?

Useing chapter select is fine, make sure you select the save option.

The 8001050F error wont even let you get to the main menu in HR.

so does the save option when loading the newest chapter continue your previous choices? i was signed in, i'll try signing out

Same thing is happening to me. Urg...I was addicted to this game and played all yesterday. Now none of the chapters will boot up todayswgneni

so will loading a chapter with the save feature wreck my past and future plot?????
